We did an hour long Ecological Tour with Aaron. We headed down stream under the bridge and then upstream to the Karapiro Dam. There and back Aaron gave us a commentary on the flora and fauna as well as the geological history of this part of the river. We stopped numerous times to see fish in the shallows. Keep an eye out for the curved power lines and the tree that was blown across to the opposite bank.
We chose also to included some slides and spins.
We cannot rate this tour high enough and have no hesitation in recommending it 100%

I bribed my 8 year old daughter to do this experience with me as I knew she’d love it just as I have many times. Aaron was our driver and it was just myself and daughter so we had a private tour/experience. It was epic! It was late in the day but still equally stunning rushing upstream seeing all the towering trees, coming up close the river walls, rocks and fallen trees! It was scary in a good way. The speed and 360 turns were so much fun and we didn’t get as wet as we expected. We chose the extreme 45 min tour and I highly recommend this as anything else would be way too short. It’s just so much fun! Thanks Aaron for a great end to a great day!

Wow what an amazing experience! I’ve been a jet boat before but it was nothing like the 45min extreme tour. Had a lot of fun with my wife and 2 kids. Aaron is a true navigator of the Waikato river pushed the boat to its full potential but was smooth as butter zig zagging through the river, a funny joker and knows his history . I 100% recommend Camjet boat tours if you’re thinking of trying them out 😊

This is the coolest thing we have done in ages! Such a buzz doing the high speed stuff, also loved the quieter parts where Aaron shared lots of fascinating info about different areas we explored. The views are stunning, and learning more about it is a real bonus. Our driver/tour guide Aaron is clearly well versed in local knowledge and knows the river exceptionally well. He is welcoming and professional and knows how to cater to all ages. Our kids are still raving about how much they enjoyed the experience. Thanks heaps Camjet, we will definitely be recommending you to our family and friends.

Was looking for an out of Auckland experience and could not have found a better thrill experience with my 11yo son. CamJet sorted that out! Aaron is a fantastic driver who has incredible experience, local knowledge and mad skill behind the wheel of his jet propelled beast. Highly recommend the 45 Minute Extreme Tour for a thrill ride! the video/photo package is awesome too, Aaron puts a big effort in to capturing the special moments in to the spectacular footage for lifetime sharing memories.

Such a fun and interesting experience. We opted for the more mellow, 60 minute eco-tour, but our guide, Aaron, threw in a few 180 and 360 degree spins which got the heart racing. Aaron was good value, with a good amount of knowledge of the river and a nice, dry sense of humour. Highly recommended.

We Loved the CamJet experience. This is a fab experience for families and groups. Our children are 12 and 17 and loved it as much as I did! Aaron our skipper and guide was very skilled giving lots of 180s and 360s as well as being very knowledgable about history and nature of the route! We love cambridge (it is our third visit here from the uk) and I would highly recommend it as a base for visiting New Zealand! There is a lot to do and it is one of the safest places on the north island along with being beautiful and easy access to Raglan, Taupo, Rotarua, Mount Maunganui and so much more!
Or if youre staying further away, you could book CamJet and definitely have a lovely day out in Cambridge! A Highly recommended experience.

We did the 45 min extreme tour. It was our best experience in Hamilton/Cambridge, hands down! Our guide Aaron was very accommodating, fun, and knowledgeable! The tour is through the Waikato River, which we learned a lot about from Aaron. He made it SOOOO fun! He made the boat turn several times, go fast, and over bumps, we were all scream-laughing! He also checked on us several times. This was an intimate tour, not a big group thing where you get lost in the crowd. Would totally recommend!

We did the extreme tour that went for 45 minutes. It was extremely fun and the 360 degree spins were exhilarating. Our tour guide, Aaron, was informative as well as very funny. Would definitely recommend this for any friends or families with teens to do when in Cambridge.

Hi.
The 45 minute Extreme tour is our most popular tour and is a hit for most people. It was our pleasure having your group onboard and hope to see you again in the summer this time. I recommend doing it once in winter and again in summer as the river ecosystem is very dynamic.

We Chose the extreme option for a trip up to the Karapiro Dam. The weather was proving difficult because heavy rain was forecast and jet boating into heavy rain must be like being hit by buck shot. Aaron, the tour guide, was very flexible and worked with us by bringing the departure time forward so we avoided the worst of the rain. We were also provided with rain proof coats which were essential. All of us enjoyed the trip, the commentary was funny and informative. Aaron's style encouraged some hilarious banter. Everyone enjoyed the trip.

Thats great that we were able to avoid the rain. It has been challenging with the weather this year, but we can normally work around it and the spray suits are great.
