We came off the Jacobite on a cold wintry day and found this wonderful pub with its roaring fire. Staff were very friendly and attentive and their Cullen Skink is to die for.

Warm welcome, warm staff and warm food. On a chilly day, this was what we needed and the Chlachain Inn came up trumps. The Cullen Skink (thick leek and potato soup with chunks of smoked haddock) was outstanding.

Nice cosy atmosphere, friendly staff, good beer, and amazing fresh, light battered haddock! Cullen skink- rated 'best I've ever had' by my mum

Mallaig has little to offer but this pub is good - well-appointed, has a comprehensive menu of good food. and serves 3 real ales. Staff very pleasant. Recommended

Had a run down to Mallaig from Fort William and decided to have a meal in the Chlachain Inn, what a great choice , lovely service with a smile and a 1st class meal at a reasonable price... 5 star rating from me..

Liked the name and decided to pop in whilst waiting to sort out ferry tickets, decent choice of beers, lovely settee to sit on and while away a half hour. We would like tom pop back and try the seafood here.

We watched the sunset from our balcony after amazing fish and chips in the bar. Very friendly welcome and helpful staff. Great bar and Mallaig is lovely - the freakish sunny weather helped, but there are fires in the bar for when the sun goes...More
