We found the citadel very interesting. Great views. Check out the dungeon, the barracks, the latrines. It was Sunday so it was free. You access the citadel through the museum. It was quite accessible and worth half an hour wander around.

Not sure why it was closed when other people have visited recently - it was open, there were at least 5 different areas of the museum to visit, and we really enjoyed learning about Corsican history and culture, particularly the origins of the Moor Man...More

I believe that after the renovation, re-stocking and maybe grand opening it could be a very nice museum, but when we visited in the summer (holiday period?!!) everything was closed, citadel and 2 out of three exhibitions in the museum. My kids liked the fact...More

Extremely disappointed. Nothing on the national tourist website about it being closed. Nothing on their Facebook hours of operation and then this am closed. Only posted 5pm yesterday as a Facebook posting. Not acceptable for a famous site.

The Citadelle de Corte is worth visiting, the view is magnificent. But it looks like the restauration is not finished yet and may take years to go. You can only go to the Citadelle via het Museum. This offers an overview of Corsian things but...More

Fantastic citadelle, very unique experience.. one of my highlights in Corsica. We booked the petit train and had concession entry to the musee and citadelle. We had decided to take a break from touring and spend the day in Corte... this was totally worth it.....More

A great museum is included in the admission price but the citadelle itself is quite ordinary. There are no information boards so it is difficult to gain a lot from the visit

Well worth the climb for a panaramic vista of Corte and surrounding area. Some ongoing re construction to avoid.be sure to go down into the dungeon.

The citadelle itself is gorgeous in a unique and historical way and the views from the very top are unparalleled. It’s a bit of a hike to get there, but it is so worth it. Only catch: I would stay clear of the dungeon. I’ve...More

Hi, Daren, sorry, I'm reading your question only now. No, in my opinion, it is'nt enought to see spending one day. In two hours, you see everything. Good trip.
