Well preserved ruins of Castle. You can spend about one hour. There is a little shop downstairs. Good to visit during Dickens festival.

The castle and grounds are very nice to walk around. The building looks great to say its 900 years old. It doesn't cost anything to walk around the grounds. The only thing you pay for is climbing up the keep, which costs about 6 pounds....More

This is a great castle to view from outside and one can take great photos with the contrasting sky in the background If you want to enter then would suggest that you have an English Heritage membership as mostly it is a ruin

As others have said: yes, looks as if it will be open. Just a thought if you haven't visited before: the high walkways, which are open to the sky, are bound to be wet and windy, so be sure to dress accordingly and wear... More

Hello, it isn't far at all. The train station is in a road that runs parallel to the High Street. Simply cross that road and you will be in the heart of Rochester.
