You can really imagine the life of the soldiers who lived in this castle, trying to protect the Royal Navy harbour further up the river. Several towers, with great views, informative displays

It is a great location. Tucked away at the end of a beautiful street on the river. However it just lacked any real pizzazz. Interesting but not entertaining. The need to try harder.

A beautifully castle spent a morning absorbing the sights and history. We'll worth a visit. Beautifully hidden down a narrow cobblestone road. Information inside the castle very informative. Audio guide very easy to follow, you can walk round as you please as everything numbered.
