The Wheels and Fins festival is right by Joss Bay beach. It runs from Friday to Sunday in September each year. The headliner band this year was The Libertines. Nice, relatively relaxed and compact festival with a friendly vibe. A bit expensive for the food...More

Joss By was the third beach we visited during our trip to Broadstairs on 15th September. We walked to the beach from Stone Bay along N Foreland Avenue and the views along the way were stunning. It just seemed like paradise. We had to take...More

Great walk from Ramsgate Harbor to Joss Bay. Wonderful walk along sea front. Great views in excellent weather - out to sea, wonderful individually-styled homes. Most of walk is level and paved/tarmacked. Few places where have to do steep walk from sea -level up on...More

A lovely afternoon spent at this pretty bay. Easy to park - free in road opposite - as wasn’t boiling hot or overcrowded. Kids swam, lifeguards did excellent job, peaceful, not overtly touristy. Glad we did the research and read the reviews.

Other beach users were actually feeding these enormous seagulls- they frightened the children and put us off this beach a bit. Lots of amenities here though, sun umbrella and windbreaker hire, filthy gross toilets, shower on the beach and an ice cream shop.

Nice sandy beach, never gets too packed, only downside a lot of seagulls, but this was due to idiots feeding them. Didn’t see any dogs so assume they are banned from the beach which is a massive plus 👍🏻. Official council car park was empty...More

After lunch in Broadstairs a slow drive along the coast to Margate and look what we saw ! Ok so the weather was beautiful, but this would look as good if it were really cold

Great family beach! My family and I spent a whole day on the Beach on Sunday, the children enjoyed playing on the sandy beach and playing in the sea. The water was cold as it was a hot but cloudy day, but this didn't but...More

Saturday in the current heat wave and thought it was going to be horrendously busy. It was busy but could park easily. Found a spot not to far from water and the safe swimming flags. Lovely cafe and there are toilets near the beach although...More

It might be because we went there in a morning period but the beach was not full at all and it was the perfect sunny day to enjoy it, so obviously I loved it.

Limited parking here, a farmer has opened a field charge £5.00 a day, which is reasonable, but there is a very steep slope to the beach, think this is not or you. Viking bay does have a lift to the beach, so would be better... More
