What a fun little place! Ive never bathed in thermal waters before and was so pleasantly surprised by how good my skin felt afterwards!

Arrived close to end of day. Mud facial felt great. Warm water was relaxing. Enjoyed our visit. Easy to find near town.

Relaxing Minerals
Jan 2020
We enjoyed the mud masks and the small mineral pool. It was very nice that there were changing rooms and rest rooms. We even bought some mud for $3 to bring home.

Don't go expecting luxury spa treatment. It is rustic and I loved it! I especially loved the mud facial.

Not Really Hot
May 2019 • Family
Well, it is only 4 dollars. It is a small area. You have two bowls of mud to choose from: one is regular and the other is for sensitive skin. You put it on (face, hands, neck and/or legs) and wait for it to dry. You rinse off, then go into one of the pools for a soak. The water, which is warm at best, is very murky and you can really smell the minerals. And then you're done.

More than expected!

Many reviews on Trip Advisor did not rate this venue well. I don't understand that! This was a very good, relaxing, and enjoyable experience and well worth the whopping $4.00 entry fee. Many think of a 'Spa' as a luxurious event, and that is not the case here. This is a warm mineral springs located in a beautiful dormant volcanic crater. The nature and the scenery are spectacular. If you go there thinking you will be pampered and spoiled, you are wrong. But if you go there looking for a unique, low cost experience, you will enjoy yourself.

DEFINITELY NOT WORTH IT

I was expecting much more..4 dollars fees for what? Just a small and crowded pool ( not even so warm), and other 2 pools even smaller !! Much better things to do in El Valle.

A hidden gem
Mar 2019 • Couples
This was such a nice surprise and so inexpensive. For only $4 per person you can spend as much time as you want.
First a guide walks you through the facility and gives a little back ground.
Then you choose your clay for the mud masks.
And off into the 4 different mineral pools.
BE AWARE your bathing suits of light colored with STAIN from the minerals .. I don’t know what I was thinking w a white suit which was ruined.
It is not very commercialized you can not purchase drinks or snack etc.. and you have to ask to purchase the mud masks but the tubs of mud to take home are only $3 each. I would recommend stopping by here. It was lovely 😊 and with the views of the volcanoes 🌋 just fabulous

Lovely Hot Springs
Mar 2019 • Solo
Lovely hot springs in an easy to find location.
Compact, rustic, friendly.
A foot soak while your mud mask dries, a large pool and 3 small pools. The water is not too hot.
A relaxing place to spend an hour.

Have been here twice now - once 2 years ago and this go around with friends as part of their bus tour. While a nice setting and well organized - the hot springs are really "talked" up by the tour company and too much time is dedicated to this aspect of the tour. Mud on face - okay. But that takes 10 minutes and often one hour on tour is dedicated to this site - with nothing else to do. You can go into the hot springs pools - but they are small and very crowded (wall to wall people did not appeal to us) and didn't look overly clean...although I'm sure they were. Lots of wonderful things in Panama - just need to reset expectations for this location.
