Our tours are friendly, informative and fun. With no more than 12 people on board, raft beneath many thousands of fabulous glowworms to see them at their very best. We visit private caves away from the regular, more commercial tours. Our caves are on a beautiful hill country farm and your guide is also your host, so expect a really enjoyable and memorable tour of our two magical caves.

Let me start by saying that on this trip we toured both the Te Anau Glowworm caves and the Spellbound Glowworm caves. The Te Anau GLowworm caves were nice, but hands down the Spellbound Glowworm caves are what you want to see. There are TONS...More

Thanks for your review, very few of our reviewers visit another glowworm cave. The geography and ecology of our glowworm cave setting is why there are so many glowworms- the stream comes from the elevated hills to the west- native forest and farmland, before finally...More

The glowworm cave tour was a great way to spend my first afternoon in New Zealand. The second cave, in particular, was spectacular. My one recommendation for improvement: It would be helpful if the guides would learn how to say "no flash" and other key...More

Thanks for your review, we often visit our glowworm cave after the Spirit cave if we have a double group, it means there is an up hill walk after instead, but im sure you would agree is not a big hill. The glowworms are hardy...More

Thanks for your review, I think you mean geological history. The contrast between our glowworm cave and the canyon upstream and our spirit cave and connecting dry valley between , where the stream used to flow is a classic example of how the karst (limestone)...More

Hi Graeme, thanks for your review, we put the tripod heads in the cave, as many visitors bring DSLR cameras with them, and tripods on the path get in the way! Also, with a standard zoom lens, at least 10 seconds is required at iso...More
