I would give the 10 stars. We had a tour with Peter on January 15, and it was one of the most awe-inspiring activities in our 3-week trip. (And we had seen so many wonderful and great places in NZ, this is saying a lot)....More

Our kids 8 and 12 enjoyed the two caves very much and learned a lot around the geology and biology in the caves. Being in a small group is cool and gives a lots of extra insights. Petting the eel was a cool little extra.

This was an amazing experience! Highly recommend this company if you prefer your guided tours to be in small groups! Kieran the tour guide was fantastic and very knowledgeable. My wife and I would definitely complete this tour again with Kieran if visiting NZ again!

Zane was our guide and he not only knew a lot about the two caves or how to operate a van through hilly terrains but he kept my 5 year old entertained and engaged. The small group of 12 made it intimate and less hurried,...More

We were a group of 6: grandparents, parents and 2 girls (aged 7 and 9). We all loved this tour, with its small group, beautiful glow worms and magical boat trip. The walk to and through the 2nd cave was fun and interesting. Three of...More

This was the first stop of a long-anticipated visit to New Zealand. Our flight from the US arrived at 10:30am and we had a tour with Spellbound at 3:00pm. Due to mechanical problems at the gate upon arrival, we didn't de-plane for another hour and...More

I went back and forth before booking this tour, mainly because I was so worried that the glowworm cave they would take us to would not be as good as the big touristy ones. We had 12 family members in our group and I really...More

I jst followed suggestion from our campsite across the road. Very very nice experience. Whilst the boat trip is short; it is surreal to flow under a glowworm skyline. I travel a lot, but this makes it to my top10 !! Why is this not...More

Thanks for your review, As well as being a Black Water Rafting guide in the 1980s, Mangu has extensive knowledge of Aotearoa/New Zealand from being a tour bus driver. Lets hope that your children remember their holiday experience for many years to come.

I had seen many caves and glow worms before so I wasn't expecting to be surprised today but boy was I wrong. The tour conducted by Spellbound is in a class of its own for people who are keen to take time to appreciate the...More

We had our own driver and van from Auckland. Your best bet is to contact the tour operator directly.
