Waitomo Glowworm Caves Guided Tour

283 reviews
New Zealand's natural beauty goes far below the surface, as you'll discover on this guided tour of the Waitomo Caves. The underground cave complex is home to millions of glowworms and spectacular formations, like the Cathedral Cave. Your guide will tell you all about the natural forces at work in the cave, on a tour that's fun and informative for both adults and kids.

well worth the drive out, i highly recommend visting around dusk maybe pop down to marakopa waterfall first and on your way back up visit the natural bridge as you can see it with a little light and then when it gets dark youll be able to see glowworms along the walls

We did this walk with our 4 year old daughter. Stunning walk, worth the drive out. Lots of steps. Just don't bother going to the toi toi cafe afterwards unless you want a cheap microwaved pie. That's about all they have.

A nice well maintained walk to a 17m natural arch. The trail takes 20 minutes to do the loop including the walk through the bush/paddock. Nature is beautiful. We had it to ourselves and it was really peaceful. The drive from Waitomo was very windy but you can also pop down road a bit further to see the falls which was really worth the effort.

This is a wonderful walk and the scenery at the double natural arch is breathtaking. The path is well constructed and easy to access. You can make this an interesting round walk by carrying on through the arch and following some rather obscure signs that take you through some farmland and eventually winds back to the beginning of the Natural Bridge Walk. Definitely to be recommended.
