My brother got in touch with me months and months before my NZ visit and said he was going to do this and asked if I would join. We did the Black Abyss experience, and we both came out exhausted, but wanting to go again. He is an avid caver in Australia, but is used to doing dry caves and... More

We went on the Black Labyrinth adventure tour which included wet suiting up and sitting on black tubes through underwater cave systems!! Little intimidating at first as you have to jump backwards into the water and also do this over small waterfalls whilst in the caves, but once you have done it once it's fine!! Our group had 12 people... More

We'd been having a bit of a sad time in our maiden NZ trip because of the recent weather and even while heading to this cave tour, we were a bit sceptical but when we reached we got to know that the tour was on. And the Black Abyss tour was simply mind blowing. It had a positive psychological impact... More

Due to heavy rain and flooding before our arrival, we could not do the typical tubing adventure through the caves. Fortunately, Black Water upgraded us to their cave tour - which was more adventure than we had planned - but ultimately a lot of fun. The cave tour features some very small and narrow spaces, followed by scaling shear rock... More

So much fun. We did the Abyss tour. So many exciting things in one tour. We could have been pushed harder however the level of excitement was good for the majority of the group. Would go again. Not cheap but if you can afford it, it is worth it. Climbing up a waterfall is pretty special.

My husband did the Abyss (5 hours) with one son whilst I did the Labrynth (3 hours) with the other. We all had an incredible time. The experience started with getting into the gear provided by the LBWR Co - wetsuit and special boots. It was not a particularly warm day so pulling on wet inner booties was not so... More

Went on the black aybass with my mum who is a bit scared of everything. The girls were encouraging and helped her every step of the way. We were warmed up with hot drinks and yummy sugary treats! Waterfall climbing, zip lining, incredible glow worms... peaceful nature mixed with adrenaline... awesome day out!

We have been sampling NZ's adrenalin adventures --Able Tasman by boat-Queen Charlotte trek by bike--white water rafting in Murchison-skydiving over Able Tasman-and more. This outing with Cory and Lofty pushed us for 5 hours in a mix of adrenalin, entertainment and psychological limits--rappelling 35 m down a Lewis Carroll rabbit hole-cliff jumping under ground-swimming underground rivers and scaling steep narrow... We were a large group made up mostly of teenagers. The black labyrinth tour was a ton of fun because it was a lot of fun and a good adventure but not so intense that the kids couldn't do it. The company is very professional and well-run. They give you all the gear you need and do a good job... More
