La Perouse is one of my favourite places in Sydney and holds fond memories of my childhood visits back in the day of the "snake man". I revisited today, wet, windy and wild but still beautiful. Nature at its best. Frenchman's Beach is a prefect...More

Lovely family beach in Botany Bay. Calm sheltered cove with clean sand and few waves. careful of your floating flaingoes though as the wind can be quite breezy and they ight float away.

Spent the day here at the Beach. Lots of people, so if you decide to come, come early as there were limited spaces on the beach to sit. So be prepared. Also, allow quite a bit of time to find a carpark.

Popular place! We took bus from centre of Sydney using Opal transport card + download their trip planner app (must have while in Sydney). Easy trip there. Love people watching while on bus, and also looking at the architecture of buildings while on bus. Arrived...More

No waves and shallow towards shore with not much current. Good for small children, nice local fish and chips too. Parking can be hard to find on a nice summers day.

A great side of La Perouse. Not too busy and just the ocean waves to hear. A lovely place to fish and relax.

Came in winter with my husband and young toddler. It's a good place to fly kite as it's windy but there isn't much to do. I would suggest bondi beach instead, bigger beach, better views.

This is a narrow beach at La perouse that is more suitable for young children than surfing etc, as it is protected from the ocean. Should be avoided after heavy rains as storm water rubbish can end up in this area. However when the weather...More

If you can get to this beach in the morning before 9am,the Serenity level is very calming. The water here is protected from the ocean,so it's usually flat, and relatively safe. If the breakwall across Yarra bay is getting hammered, there will be surge of water dangerous...More
