Spoilt by Bull Ring Grandstands in Plaza Mayor very claustrophobic. Spoilt sitting out in square. Restaurants over priced, even a cup of coffee costs €2 from a little bar, when we have paid max €1.50 in many lovely places in Spain even as little as...More

Great place to start your trek. We meandered through the side streets and it was a real discovery. If looking for a post office, there's one right there. On the main drag, there's all kinds of great shops. On the side streets, it's mostly restaurants.

The Plaza is different from other plazas we have seen in Spain. It's almost circular with 3 story buildings around. All with beautiful balconies. Many restaurants, pubs and stores around.

We decided to take a day trip to the countryside out of Madrid and the helpful rental car agent suggested Chinchon. We were so glad we went! The old town and plaza are lovely, walkable, and uncrowded (at least there weren’t lots of tourists the...More
