There’s not much to see or do once you’re in the castle, but it’s ok for a wonder about in the sunshine. There is a headphone guide. It’s only open for a limited time during the day.

This, like the church that is nearby, is interesting more for the views than for the history or the architecture. The fortified area is largely in ruins, so as a castle/fortress, it is not as interesting as other castles in the area.

It is an easy and pleasant walk to the top. It is even possible to drive till almost the top, but I wouldn't not recommend it. One you are there, you can visit a church and fortress remaining standing wall. But nothing remarkable. The best...More

From the fort you have a great view over Aracena and the valley. Unfortunately the fort was closed and we could not enter. Anyhow it was worth to climb to the top.
