This is small but excellent museum and well worth a visit to find out what life for those not allowed to be Jewish in Belmonte

It would take too much time to explain it here but it deals the Jewish people from the time of the Inquisition until now. Do an internet search it if you want more info. A must see for anyone IMHO.

I am not sure of the exact times. I know that they close for lunch, like many places in Portugal. I suggest that you contact the Empresa Municipal de Belmonte. They have an email and Facebook address. Nesi'ah Tovah.
