Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Such an important cause and worth visiting, but the user experience could be better. There is limited information inside, and the very interesting movies appear to be only in Norwegian (fine for us, but perhaps not for everyone).

Actually great and newly refurbished / renovated.
The café didnt look authentic, but basic foods like pizza and sandwich. I would have hoped for a freshly caught salmon, but they are sparce at the moment, so understandable

We visited this center today … what a big bummer. OK we arrived late, though still needed to pay 10 euro per adult for a museum where after 10 minutes you are done. The girl at the reception wasn’t professional at all … was looking forward to the end of her shift and wasn’t honest at all what to be expected. A serious rip off for the money !!!

Very disappointing. No information about protection of wild salmon, population, development, activities. More information on homepage than in the center.

Coastal cities are beautiful. The only thing to put up with is the precipitation.
We had a whole day of rainfall when we travelled from Bergen to Lærdal. Instead of rafting outdoorsy activity, we picked the Norsk Villaks Senter (Norwegian Wild Salmon Centre) located on the bank of the famous salmon river Lærdalselvi. The whole family is entertained (and educated).
You shall be able to tell the difference between wild salmon and sea trout after the exhibition.
Don't forget to watch the 20-minute educational film about the wild Atlantic salmon, by the way.

Very interesting and educational visit but the exhibition should be updated: The movie is old-fashioned, the windows of the aquarium should be cleaned up properly (it was hard to find the beautiful fishes).

An interesting information centre explaining the life cycle of the local wild salmon, along with some history of the area and fishing techniques. There is an observatory where you can see live salmon in the river. There is a small gift shop and a cafe on site. I do think the entrance of 90nk is a bit steep

We vistited this museum while riding through Norway. They showed you the different stages how a salmon grows which was very interesting. However the movie that they showed about the salmon was very outdated and the movie itself wasnt worth paying for. In the end it is a very small but interesting museum which is a bit overpriced.

The museum is small and overpriced for what you get and see.
Only if you are a salmon addict and want to spend your money, you can visit the museum.
