This is a beautiful somewhat demanding hike that takes a full half day. The views are incredible. Trails are well marked. You will meet quite a few other hikers. Pack a lunch and plenty of water. Glad we wore our hiking boots and had hiking...More

Hard - but worth it for the views, the woods, the waterfalls, the schoolchildren's patterns of stones and flowers left on the paths

This is a beautiful hike. It was a rainy day. We were nicely surprised by the hut at the top. The trial was muddy. Be prepared with water proof boots and warm cloth.

This is a beautiful hike, well marked, and fun! It had been raining for a few days before I hiked this, and I was grateful to be in hiking boots, as much of the trail was muddy. Parts of the hike were challenging for me...More

I hiked about two hours up, to the place called Burasi. The hiking was moderate, the trail very well marked, the scenery world-class. Alpine flowers in bloom, sheep grazing in the trail, and sweeping views of the fjord.

The area offers a number of different trails, but scaling this particular summit is well worth it. The trip should not be underestimates however. The ascent of 972 meters takes roughly 2,5 hours and is easily doable if you are in average physical shape and...More

We have spent 4 days in Balestrand end of August, and decided to hire a taxi from Balestrand to Saudal to bring us to the trail head. When in tourist office, kind German visitor offered us a ride. The drive to the trailhead was breathtakingly...More

Wife and I did the whole thing top to bottom in 5 hours (tracked it on my Garmin 920). Stopped to snack, take in views and sip water. Didn't stay at the top long as it was cold, rainy and windy, but just below the...More
