Absolutely stunning place in this historical city! Well worth the climbing to enjoy the great view to Modica and of course to view the old historical church named after Saint George.

I suggest walking in all the way from the lowest stairs to the top and to take in all of the beautiful scents from the garden.

The entrance is free but careful with the Italian "siesta". I personally liked the exterior more than the interior, but nevertheless it's one of the things you can't miss in Modica.

A beautiful baroque church. The climb to its doors is worth the visit. The interior is refinded and seek out the statue of St George.

Wonderful baroque church on a hill, and visible from the lower part of town. Lots of stairs to get to, makes a lovely spot for a group photo!

An exceptionally beautiful church which also comes with a beautiful view. The 250 steps required to take to reach the top to the church is really worth it. A definite must see.

Beautiful, the way towards it, the church itself. You could take your postcard photos here. Modica is a magical town, interesting to walk around, delicious to savour its taste. Visit and remember it! We did this twice for a few days.

Impressive facade and enchanting walk/climb past the honeysuckle. Views from the steps across the valley also impressive. Little to impress inside for non-believers...though there's a cool sun calendar of sorts on the floor.

Amazing cathedral. Many interesting features. No admission. Wonderful views after you climb the steps however not too strenuous and there are alternative paths with less steps and more gentle paths. Totally over the top and a must see in Modeca.
