We struggledup all the stepsto this church but it was worth it. Staggeringly beautiful baroque decoration not as heavy as in Spain. The frontage and tower are stupendous . It has a strange year long kind of sundial calendar which is most unusual

The church itself is stunning, as were the views as we walked there from the center of town. Definitely worth a visit!

Absolutely stunning view of the town. Church is free to enter however there is a 2$ charge to go into the bell tower which is absolutely worth the fee.

Worth visiting especially if you go just before the feast of St. George when the fabulous statue of St.George is out on full view prior to the important religious procession in his honour on 23rd April

Modica is full of big churches but this one is the biggest and grandest with beautiful architecture. Not my favourite though that belongs to st Giovanni!

One of the two main churches in Modica. You can drive or walk up from Main Street. Stunning view of city from church.

Absolutely stunning place in this historical city! Well worth the climbing to enjoy the great view to Modica and of course to view the old historical church named after Saint George.
