Did this walk today, and it was great. The view at the end of it is worth the trek. Yeah the drive in is a little rough on the dirt road. Recommend you take your lunch and have it at the top. Take at least...More

We got an early start on the hike with high temperatures expected during the day. That proved to be a good choice for temperature reasons and the fact that it is a popular trail. The views from both the first and the upper lookout point...More

We were tossing up doing this track or Roy's Peak with our 3 teenagers. We did the Rob Roy and they agree that it was the best walk they did in NZ (and they did not want to do it at the start). It was...More

When even the view at the carpark is stunning, you know you're in for a treat... Right from the start you get amazing views of the valley. After climbing through forest for a while, other highlights include multiple waterfalls, mountain views, and of course the...More

If you go to Queenstown, this is a must do. Chance to get some insane photos of the scenery. 2 hour hike up to a huge glacier and a waterfall. Beautiful place. Do not miss this. Well worth the hike

This is a must see place. I had never been here before and was so glad we chose to do this hike. Our car was an old sedan and we knew the road was rough, so we rented an SUV in Wanaka the day before...More

I had to get a bus to the start of the Hike as it's a good hour drive from Wanaka and it wasn't very cheap, so If you have your own car that's a big help. The track is fairly easy, with sections of steep...More

You'll need to drive about 30 km on gravel road to get to the Raspberry Creek carpark. After that it's a 2-hour hike to the glaciers. The view at the end is worth all the effort! I had seen Franz Josef and Fox Glaciers before...More

Great walk as others have said - it's a long but even gradient up through the trees, so for most of the route there's plenty of protection from the sun (and you really want the sun!). I didn't fancy taking the hire car up a...More

It's not easy to get to the start of the track as the gravel road is bumpy and the last few kilometres are very poor, but the walk is well worth the trouble. You quickly get out of the woodland and we were able to...More
