We enjoyed the drive as there were spectacular views of Mt Aspiring along the way. We took some photos of the falls and kept pulling in for lake views on the way back.

The falls are very close to the road and are well worth a look, it is even amazing when it is wet, it also a great place to explore up and down the river

Was on the Intercity bus and they had a change of drivers at the road just outside the falls. So the driver said that we could stop for 10 minutes to take a snapshot of the falls while they changed drivers. Everyone hurried down through the small path, saw the waterfall, snapped a photo and hurried back again. Not particularly... More

We stopped by these falls when travelling the Haast Pass but were not impressed. They may possibly improve after prolonged rain.

We stopped here as we had read about the falls. It was well signposted with lots of parking. There were information boards at the start of the very short walk to the falls which gave you the background to the falls. There were also information boards as you walked to the falls describing the flora and fauna. At the falls... More

saw this recommended in many guide books.Very well signposted in advance by brown signs on the road side.an easy 5 minute walk from the road with lay bys to park in.A cool tree canopied walk and then the stunning falls.Take time just to take in the sight and the sound of the water crashing down.

This is a nice stop on the Haast Pass highway. The waterfall is very close to the road. All the buses also stop here so it is very busy. Takes about 5 mins to walk to the falls.

Very short walk to stunning waterfall. Beautiful blue water. But watch out for the sandflies! Bring bug spray

The waterfall is very pretty as is the short walk to view it. It takes maybe 10 minutes to get to the falls depending on how many photos you take. The trail is improved but not paved. There is an interpretive sign at the trailhead. READ the Poison Warning sign - you really don't want to take a pet or... More

It was a great place to stop and get out and stretch your legs. The falls are beautiful and worth the detour.
