Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

A super short walk from the car park brings you to these beautiful falls.

A great stopping point along SH6 and a great location to stretch your legs.

This is an impressive cataract, despite the amount of competition in NZ!. The drop is long and spectacular with lots of white water. Great photos from here. And very easy to access the viewing point.

Tall slender waterfalls. Easy short walk to get to the waterfalls.

Could get down onto the rocks for a picnic if you wanted.

If you only have the time, or fitness, to see one waterfall along the Haast Pass, this is the one.
It’s about 45 minutes from Haast, on the right, but there’s parking on both sides of the highway.
From there it’s a 2 minute walk along a short flat track to a 2 level lookout, or you can scramble down a few rocks to get to the river bed.
The falls are spectacular, a decent size, and right in front of your face.
No toilets, but be careful if crossing the highway from the eastbound side.

If you are only going to stop for one waterfall along Haast highway this one is the most spectacular. Really long waterfall. Just a short walk from road.

Parking space alongside the Haast Highway to visit these falls. A short walk to see the 28 metre waterfall. This is one of several short stops available along this stretch of the Haast Road. Much more impressive than nearby Fantail Falls and Roaring Billy Falls.

Plenty of free parking, wheelchair accessible but no toilets here. It's just a short walk through nice native bush to the falls.

Had plenty of rain so falls in full flow. Easy to get to and they were good to view - nice bush surrounding the area. Also easy to find so worth a stop

A very short, fully accessible, path to these falls which are quite spectacular. Definitely worth a stop when passing through Haast pass.
