Nice if on your way but don't go out of your way. not a good pit stop for kids, no bathrooms, so we had to use mother nature's bathroom. After a rainstorm it was fairly impressive.

A couple hundred metres off the highway, across a river. You can't cross the river (at least not when we were there) but it is still a picturesque waterfall with the nice blue water.

Great & easy path to travel on with only a short walk to the falls. Very pretty area and very glad that we stopped for a look.

This is a easy well maintained walking trail to an observation platform with great view of the fall as well as steps that lead down to the river bank. Beautiful fall that splashes into a small pool and then continues to "fall" into the river....More

Short 5 min walk down a surfaced path through the rain forest. The falls weren't thundering when we visited but still very impressive.

There are a few places to pull over and experience nature, all not far from the road. Thunder creek falls is one of the first you come across leaving the west coast. Certainly worth a stop - put on the insect repellant though

We enjoyed the drive as there were spectacular views of Mt Aspiring along the way. We took some photos of the falls and kept pulling in for lake views on the way back.
