Visited on Wednesday 9th May. A short walk gets you to these falls and we were lucky to see them after some heavy rain. A great spot to stretch your legs as well.

We've been several times and each time gets better. This fall is huge! It's a short, easy walk to get there. Only takes 15 minutes or so for photos. Nice short stop but such a grand site! Not to be skipped!

Don't go out of your way to see these falls. There are several waterfalls in NZ which are much more impressive. If you're in the area or on the road it's a good place to stretch your legs.

It was pouring rain when we went there which only added to the sheer volume of water that was flowing down the falls.

Barely few minutes walk from the main road winding up to the Haast Pass, this is a magnificent waterfall cascade. Ample view point and steps to go down to the stream too for better pictures. The short walk through the forest is lovely.

We called in here on the way from Te Anau to Milford. We'd left early to avoid the crowds, and weren't disappointed as there was only a couple of other people there. Quick and easy walk through the forest for a few minutes, good for...More

This very easy walk through the forest to see the falls is most enjoyable. The falls drop right into the creek and while it is not possible to actually get across the creek to the falls, good viewing is possible.

Definitely worth a visit after some rain. Quite popular with tourists (a few buses stop here) but worth having a look. Perhaps try and go during non-peak periods earlier in the morning or later in the day.
