Very short walk to stunning waterfall. Beautiful blue water. But watch out for the sandflies! Bring bug spray

This is a nice stop on the Haast Pass highway. The waterfall is very close to the road. All the buses also stop here so it is very busy. Takes about 5 mins to walk to the falls.

The waterfall is very pretty as is the short walk to view it. It takes maybe 10 minutes to get to the falls depending on how many photos you take. The trail is improved but not paved. There is an interpretive sign at the trailhead. READ the Poison Warning sign - you really don't want to take a pet or... More

It was a great place to stop and get out and stretch your legs. The falls are beautiful and worth the detour.

These falls drop into a little pool and are just a short walk off the highway with plenty of parking.

Ho-hum. Another waterfall on the bus route, Probably the best on the road between Wanaka and the Glaciers, but after Milford, you might as well stay on the bus.

Only a short walk from the car park is this magnificent waterfall. Although you can hear it and glimpse it before you reach it, it still takes your breath away. We visited after a few dry days and it was still a great spectacle. Only downside is the sand flies - come well covered in Deet.

Its worth stopping to take a look at these falls, which drop over 50m from the cliffs above. There's a good sized car park and a short walk thro woodland to get to the river and falls lookout platform

Very cool stop, very close to the Blue Pools. The falls are not far from the carpark area. Easy access with no hiking involved to see the Fantail Falls.
