About Wildwire Wanaka
A Must Do Wanaka Activity. Our via ferrata tours are perfect for anyone who loves waterfalls and beautiful places. Our tours are also suitable for beginners and families. We start in Wanaka and you will climb alongside Twin Falls, one of Wanaka’s most iconic waterfalls on our via ferrata tour. If you can climb a ladder, you can do it! There are hidden pools beneath towering falls, picnic swimming spots along the way and the views to the surrounding mountains and lakes are breathtaking. All tours depart from Wanaka. Join us!

This is well run with guides who know what they are doing. You can challenge yourself safely as they are prepared for every eventuality. It was something we will always remember.

Some of our crew (young teenagers and parents) were a little hesitant about doing this but everyone loved it. Safety is excellent. It wasn’t as physically difficult as it might look (we did stage 1 and 2).

We unfortunately only did the first stage which was a lot of fun but we just wanted to keep on climbing. We had a very thorough guide who ensured all felt comfortable. It was very well organised, with tremendous vistas and we felt very safe....More

We like thrills and value... Lord of the rungs gets very high marks. First half was interesting & moderately challenging, last half is way beyond the weak and timid. Impressed by the entire operation and enjoyed the six plus hour duration, unlike the quick blink...More
