Amazing panorama view after 2 hours climb. Im not a hiking fans, i have been sweating and exhausted. But it really worth when you reach the top. You must do it and hike to the top !

Fantastic walk! However, do be cautious and only really suitable for advanced hikers in winter. I had read quite a few reviews on here, as well as using the DOC site and learnt that the Eastern side was the easier climb with the better views....More

The lake was good, but honestly you'd be better off going to lake wanaka. The walks are average and not very special.
