We had shortlisted this place as a to-do in our itinerary and we weren't disappointed at all. There is an entry charge to the farm and it is advisable that you spend couple of hours roaming in the fields. I also suggest carrying a picnic...More

Wanaka Lavender Farm is a lovely place to visit. Rows and rows of lavender fields, alpacas, teas and a gift shop! Very peaceful, easy to find too.

Not a good time to visit this place during winter. That's for sure. No lavender to see... just a plain, dry, brown farm with a bit of brown grass.More

It is not far out of town but probably not safe to walk since there are no sidewalks. As others have suggested either hotel transportation or a taxi is best.

We were there in November and the lavender was just starting to bloom. You could visit anytime of the year, we loved it and will go back when we are in the area again.
