Me and my husband drove through and passed the wanaka lake. Looked absolutely stunning. Wish we could have spent more time there as it seemed such a good spot for holidaying, walking etc

walked around the lake to the Wanaka tree and slightly beyond from our hotel on the lake Edgewater .it was autumn and the trees were a beautiful color .surreal

Lake Wanaka is so beautiful..Its so picturesque...one can take lots of photos here..The wanaka tree is quite famous..Since this place is less crowded one can enjoy and have a great time here..Just loved it..

If you want some exercise, the nearest Big Hill is Mt Roy. Drive 6 km N to the car park on the W of the road. The higher you go, the more you can see.
