We were staying as a family at Cardrona for a week of skiing/snowboarding when a winter storm hit and the slopes closed. We were looking for a place to go for tubing/sledding as an alternative. It took about 45 minutes to get from Cardrona to Snow Farm. Once there we realised it wasn't quite what we were expecting. I'm sure that the snowshoeing / cross country aspect could be quite special, but as we had young children we weren't there for that. Instead we came for "snow play" and tubing, which ended up being one very mediocre icy small hill and a very small area to attempt to build a snowman. We spent about 30-45 minutes total which made the 90 min round trip drive not quite worth it. Due to COVID, understandably the cafe wasn't open and the 4 hours we were hoping to spend just wasn't in the cards for us as the kids got bored quite quickly. The people at the facility were nice and in our opinion would be wise to dedicate a bigger portion of their beautiful property to tubing and sledding for more family entertainment.

We are not skiers hut had promised the grandson that we would see snow. And snow there was - a fresh dump of soft powder, just for us. He had a blast hurtling down the short tube slope (and so did grandad). the run up was easy and no parking issues at all. Brilliant!

This was our first visit to Snow Farm. We loved it. It was great for our 3 year old to have a play in some decent snow. The staff were very helpful and friendly. Would love to try cross country skiing there next time.
