Spent about 30 minutes wandering around this museum, found it interesting for something different to do and even brought back a few memories. Worth a visit if you are in the area.

Worth a visit for car and plane enthusiasts, some of the cars were amazing, a Duedenberg car was there, said to belong to Carole Lombard wife of Clark Gable, what a beautiful car. Lots of information for most vehicles and make time to watch the Wings over Wanaka movies at the start.

There was plenty to see and do at this place. Kids enjoyed the place for the most part, some of the museum was a little uninteresting for them.

This collection of gorgeous old cars and a few classic planes is worth a visit. The Dusenberg and all the Packards are a particular highlight. The cafe is great and has wonderful home cooked food in a retro setting. Fantastic views.

On the main road between Wanaka and Cromwell this is where the warbirds over Wanaka is held every 2 years. Great museum and lots to see and explore with something for everyone in the family! Just 10 minutes out of Wanaka town this is worth the trip.

I'd have to say disappointing. Great car collection. But poor aircraft one. Guess I'm a bit spoiled having been to many international aviation museums (USS Intrepid in NY and Air and Space Museum Washington ) but $50 for 3 adults for a 20 minute visit to see entire collection not great. One bonus was several Graham Sydney landscapes on display.

Hi Ian M, Sorry to hear you were disappointed on your recent visit. Our display of over 35 classic cars are possibly the best you'll see outside the USA. Formerly the site of the New Zealand Fighter Pilot's Museum, with Sir Tim Wallace having sold off his aircraft collection, this gem of a place has taken over - and we are the better for it too, not that the aviation side of things has been neglected either. Clean, absorbing and charming, within the hall is a selection of aircraft... More
