The standard of the aircraft and car displays is incredible. This is New Zealand aviation history in one building. I could have spent half a day in this building alone. Attached is a very good cafe. Tip- order your food and while you're waiting head into the museum hangar. The foods good but it takes a while and if you're... More

The museum contains a small but impressively restored collection of largely American Cars. There are also a few military aircraft and some interesting motorcycles as well as some interesting exhibits about NZ AirForce personnel in the second work war and subsequent periods of history. The exhibits cover off some information on the evolution of aircraft engines too. I managed to... More

The display of warbirds is OK, However the display of vehicles of all types is fantastic. It was a trip down memory lane for me, as I saw many cars that were prevalent in my youth, including many I would have loved to have owned and/or driven. .

Spent about 30 minutes wandering around this museum, found it interesting for something different to do and even brought back a few memories. Worth a visit if you are in the area.

Worth a visit for car and plane enthusiasts, some of the cars were amazing, a Duedenberg car was there, said to belong to Carole Lombard wife of Clark Gable, what a beautiful car. Lots of information for most vehicles and make time to watch the Wings over Wanaka movies at the start.

There was plenty to see and do at this place. Kids enjoyed the place for the most part, some of the museum was a little uninteresting for them.

This collection of gorgeous old cars and a few classic planes is worth a visit. The Dusenberg and all the Packards are a particular highlight. The cafe is great and has wonderful home cooked food in a retro setting. Fantastic views.
