My husband was looking forward to finally coming to this museum. What a disapointment it was. He paid 20.00, and there was hardly anything inside. A lot of the planes have been sold off. I would not recommend this place to anyone.More

Warbirds and Wheels was opened in December 2011. Our collection of warbirds allows visitors to follow the evolution of fighter aircraft from WW1 to more modern times while our Classic Car collection features some world-class vehicles. We also tell the story of local flying and...More

$20 entry fee to see three actual aircraft and two replicas (one of which not very realistic) was disappointing as I had visited the old warbird museum 4 years ago and was impressed. One of the reasons I returned to Wanaka. The biggest surprise was...More

The reviewer raises a valid point about our brochure which was printed before we opened late last year. We had hoped to have a Spitfire in our collection but that has not been possible to date. We agree we need to change that and are...More

If you love the history of war planes this is a must do!! It surpasses any museum on aircraft I have ever seen. Congratulations to all who have contributed to this brilliant educational and visual display.

We came here because we had a half price voucher, and glad we did because I don't think it was worth it at full price. However it is a lovely little museum with lots of interesting facts and beautifully restored cars and warbirds etc. They...More

'Wings' fans may be disappointed but I enjoyed it. Especially the cars and the Tim Wallace ehibition. For less than 5 months since opening, they've done well. The cafe has a great sunny spot on a cool day.

We discovered this museum by accident, and loved it. The collection of cars is gorgeous, and the story about the Warbirds over Wanaka founder was pretty interesting. What a crazy guy he was! Great way to spend an hour or two.
