Our world-class visitor attraction showcases a collection of Warbirds aircraft, over 30 world class and privately owned classic cars, RealArt Roadshow of unique New Zealand art, wearable arts and tales of a local legend Sir Tim Wallis. This attraction also contains a 1950's retro diner with a wide range of delicious snacks baked on site daily, diner-style meals and refreshments, and retail shop with loads of exciting car and aircraft memorabilia. Open seven days 9am to 5pm. Located at the Wanaka airport, 9km from the township.

I am glad you enjoyed your visit to our museum, especially the Sir Tim Wallis Story which we have on display upstairs. Tim is certainly an amazing person, and we see him regularly in our cafe. Please come again soon.

Thank you for your comments, yes the hanger is very cold in the winter and we do advise people that it is and that they are very welcome to come out and warm up by our lovely open fire, before returning into the museum again.

Well presented collection. Particularly loved the cars however we were warned that it was cold in the museum and yes it was freezing!

Thank you for your comments. Yes it is cold in the hanger and have looked at options for trying to keep these huge space warm. The open fire is always going at the coldest time of the year for all our customers to warm up.

Thank you for your comments, I am glad you enjoyed your breakfast, yes we do buy organic free range eggs for the cafe. We do have a great range of classic and vintage cars ranging from 1910 through to the 1960's, mostly American.

I feel we were spoilt with seeing Motorworld in Invercargill first! Great seeing these war planes on display though. It didn't take long to go through displays and I felt the charge was a bit steep for what we saw in comaprison to other places.More
