I was a little disappointed. There was not as many aircraft as I expected. Some nice cars, mostly being Cadillac's and Packards. A friend suggest I vist the Toy and Transport Museum next door and now I wish I did

This museum had a good display of aircraft, and an excellent display of unique historical cars. I now know how the expression, That's a duesy! came from.....the luxury Duesenberg vehicles. Some impressive models on display. Also liked the atmosphere of the attached retro cafe.

Some high quality exhibits but it is a small museum with not many to see. a bit disapointed. Perhaps all the museums on the airport need to get together.

Lots of superb old cars to see and drool over and a few planes. Plenty of local history to read about

I have to admit disappointment that the Alpine Fighter Collection had morphed into a car museum in the main when there is in my opinion a more interesting vehicle museum next door. With only four admittedly important planes the main focus is the cars which...More

This is a small museum - I was mainly interested in the fighter planes, and there are only half a dozen of them. The A-4 Skyhawk is pretty much the same as can be seen in other museums around NZ, and this example was looking...More

A retro 50s cafe, beautifully decked out and spotlessly clean. Service was great, coffee was great and their caramel slice was to die for.

This is a nice, focused museum which is a must do if you have any interest in the history of aviation and motoring. The planes highlight the evolution of air force aviation in the RNZAF and you're able to walk right up to and around...More

Went with my and son to look around. There's a cafe and a shop. The displays are in good condition. It was good to see the range from old cars.

There is little in this museum that you won't have seen before if you frequent such places. On the other hand, it is beautifully kept and nicely laid out without crowding.More

The range of cars in this museum is world class, and you will never see another collection of Packards like this, including three V12s, plus the Duesenberg Model J, which is the only one in the Southern Hemisphere. We like to pride ourselves on the...More
