    The best movie night experience!
Combine friendly staff with terrific food, beverages, and warm cookies during intermission, and you have the recipe for one of the best movie experiences ever! If we lived in Wānaka we would go every week. Too bad we don’t!

    Great cinema
Yes, we love this cinema, which is much like cinemas in the UK used to be like. They staff friendly and welcoming. Seats are comfortable. They even have an intermission to enable you to get a drink or cookie halfway through the film. The gentleman on duty even came into the, screen and asked if anybody would like anything to eat or drink. Fabulous service! The only downside for us was a group of people who thought it was okay to talk through most of the film. That’s no reflection on the cinema itself, just on their rudeness .

Come for the movie stay for the cookies
Such a warm and cool place. This is not your ordinary cinema. There is a good vibe and staff are so friendly. They show all kind of movies. But the thing we loved the most is the freshly baked cookies during the break with a hot cup of choco. Make sure to reserve them! The chocolate one was our favorite!

Went to see 1917 at this rather quirky, but very comfortable cinema. The seating consists of rather sumptuous couches in the screen theatre that we visited (there is more than one). There was also an old Morris Minor that could be used for seating, but really more for a novelty factor. Nice big screen easily visible from all areas. A half time intermission allowed for pre-ordered simple meals to be eaten in the cafe or purchase of popcorn or delicious giant cookies and ice cream. Really enjoyed the ambience, comfort and viewing experience. Very well worth a visit.

Gorgeous old church that has been turned into 3 cinema rooms. You’re greeted by super friendly staff in a cute restaurant where you can buy a large range of menu & cabinet food and hot/cold drinks. It’s best to reserve your seat for the movie in advance and show up early to get your pick of seating. The seating includes 2 classic cars, many couches, actual car seats & large movie seats.
New movies screening, intermission for bathroom breaks & top up of snacks. Super friendly staff & a great price! highly recommend!

We went here to see Ford vs Ferrari while in NZ on vacation. This is like a throwback theater as they have couches and cars with seats in them as well as regular seats to watch the movie from. It is not a big place but the ambiance is great, they have lots of food options, reasonable prices and they have an intermission where you can get one of their famous warm chocolate chip cookies. This is a great place for couples or families to enjoy a movie in the area. Highly recommend this Cinema.

What a find, this is an amazing little cinema with a couple of screens. Sofas as well as usual cinema seating. Food offered before during and after movies. I would recommend ordering one of the freshly baked cookies to have during the intermission in the screening. Yum!

I think this is the only time apart from watch the Sound of Music that I have ever know an intermission. I quite liked it and the abolity to get a cup of tea. Watched the film in comfort and really like the quaint feel of this Cinema. Pleanty of gluten free food which was great.

What a delightful cinema. Besides having a great selection of films to choose from across three screens and multiple screening times per day, it is a joy to visit.
Firstly the seats are a bizarre mix of regular cinema seats, sofas, armchairs and even a old car! Secondly the cinema sells decent food and wine and a real quirk is that it creates a intermission during each film and sells freshly made cookies! And of course allows people a few minutes to refresh their wine glass!
Lovely personable staff.
Reasonably priced.
Easily accessible central location.

What a fun place to see a movie! Check out the many options for dinner while watching the movie. Great food! Fun seating in old sofas, cars, and old movie seats. And the half-time intermission break with hot out of the oven, melt in your mouth jumbo cookies! What more can you ask for a great movie night! Wonderful experience! A must do while in Wanaka.

This Place has a marvellous sense of community. We had a warm welcome, all the commercials were for local businesses ( plus a great promo for recycling ).

We loved the intermission and were happy to indulge in hot chocolate and iced coffee with a huge scoop of ice cream.

You can't beat it on a rainy day.

Boutique cinema. Highly recommended if you visiting Wanaka. You can and should reserve your seat ahead by phone call (no need to pay on phone). During the break at the middle of the movie you can buy cookies - a must! You can also order pizza to be ready for the break and take it to the theatre.
