Xmas present for the boss (she who must be obeyed). We went out in a pair of tiger moths. Surprisingly gentle flight even with some aerobatics. There's Nothing to compare with an open cockpit but still pretty well protected from the elements. You're well briefed and looked after and made to feel welcome. Even donning the Biggles outfits feels right.... More

Superlatives are not enough to describe this adventure. Two WWII Tiger Moth Biplanes. Two pilots, flying together up the lake and setting down on the shore. A romantic picnic for two. Pure awesomeness. Six stars.

Having donned the Biggles style outfit, we took to the skies in the Tiger Moth. What a beautiful plane, providing stunning views over the lake and its surrounds. I wasn’t sure what to expect with the open cockpit, but it was tranquil and pretty much wind free. The option of aerobatics was offered at the outset so plucked up the... More

As I arrived I felt I was treated as a VIP. Peter Hendriks the owner was so friendly and welcoming for a flight of my life. I climbed to the height of 2-3,000 feet and then had the thrill of a life time when the pilot told me to get ready to do loop the loop--fantastic!!! and what an experience.... More

Don't put it off, do it now. My wife gave me the Barn Storming flight for my birthday and it was the best experience. Nothing beats the feeling of flying in an open cockpit with whole world around you, especially when the the view is of the lake and southern alps. Yes, you must do the loop. Great people, great... Very professional set up, building confidence to sit in the open front seat of a Tiger Moth over wonderful scenery. Very highly recommended. Not cheap but worth the money. Do it.

I have been putting off this review for the simple reason that I can't find the words to describe my flight. My husband and I had booked a flight for both of us in the Waco but when we arrived the sight of a beautifully maintained Tiger Moth was my undoing! I have for a very long time wanted to... More

My husband went up in the Tiger Moth with Devon and my 7 year old son and I in the Waco with Pete on a picture perfect day in Wanaka. It was, as I said in the review title, breathtaking. The scenery was stunning and the crisp autumn air was invigorating. The thrill of the open cockpit is something every... More

.A really magnificent experience and if you are ever in Wanaka a must do. The atmosphere in the "waiting room" is period and for those interested in vintage aircraft the hanger is a treasure. We could not get off at the time we were originally booked as it was windy but were rebooked for the next day when the weather... More

What an amazing experience. A little apprehensive given the open cockpit etc. That quickly changed once we took off - so gentle and truly breathtaking. We, my husband and I, and our 2 adult sons, took a flight to a remote station airstrip where the pilots set up a picnic lunch with great local wine (Julie did a fantastic job... More
