A flight in a 1941 Tiger Moth is something pretty unique however a flight that includes acrobatics is something quite spectacular. We decided this was an opportunity too good to miss and it was well worth it. The whole experience of dressing in the overalls, putting on the thick leather and sheepskin lined flying jacket and donning the flying helmet was all part of it. The real fun and thrill was the acrobatic moves including a loop the loop. A must do if you want to experience a thrill with a difference.…

A highlight of the trip to New Zealand. A wonderful experience in an iconic trainer aircraft. The pre flight briefing was comprehensive and the pilot (Stuart) took time to explain the route, the communications to be used and also talked about the aircraft. The route took us over Lake Wanaka where the aerobatics took place. These consisted of loops and wing-overs that Stuart made sure I was aware of before we commenced each of the manoeuvres. The views were superb and its OK to take a camera and I got some wonderful pictures. Nice aviation chat with Stuart after landing was a bonus. Make sure you visit the excellent museum at the airfield too!…

I had the experience of a lifetime last week, I've done many extreme adventure things and this would be one of the best yet ! I did a half hour flight in a Tiger moth with some aerobatics thrown in, they are optional but seriously ? why would you not want to do them in a 1940's plane made of wood and canvas - the ultimate high flying experience. The weather tried hard not to play ball but as it was my 60th birthday it finally cleared enough for my flight, I was ecstatic to say the least. The flight was over and above my expectations and I cannot recommend it highly enough - get down there and do it ! My pilot, Austin Jones was brilliant, reassuring, informative, and enthusiastic about giving you the best flight experience he can, while highly enjoying flying that plane himself. Ground crew make it a good experience, all up cannot fault them.…

Amazing flight to Milford Sound and back. The day started off with low cloud so we postpone the leave time for 2 hours. Sue was amazing the way she handle the aircraft and the commentary was excellent. She new the layout of the mountain ranges. She pointed out areas of interest as we flew over them. This was a birthday present to me and a memories were made. My wife ,daughter and myself would do it all over again with Classic Flights, Thankyou Sue for a wonderful experience…

Even if you're not an aviation enthusiast this is recommended. I had a 30 minute aerobatic flight over Lake Wanaka in a Tiger Moth and it was a highlight of our trip to New Zealand. Classic Flights supply jacket, goggles, helmet and gloves. An excellent pre flight briefing was given by the pilot (Stuart) who made sure I was securely strapped in after taking time to talk through what we'd be doing and also the route we would take. The flight took us over Lake Wanaka and the views were stunning. The aerobatics were great fun - loops and wing-overs in a 1930s bi-plane should be anyone's bucketlist! Nice chat with Stuart after about the plane and aviation in New Zealand.…
