About
The Wanaka Farmers & Gardeners Market was established as a venue for local gardeners and producers to grow a village style market. Through the years it has expanded and today remains one of the few farmers markets in the country to be held the year round. The Thursday market also now boasts arts and crafts. With visitors ranging from local regulars, to newcomers discovering amazing local goodies.

Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We visited this small craft market in Pembroke Park and there were several craft stores as well as some food and jars of relishes.
its located on a picturesque site overlooking Lake Wanaka but far too small a market.
Its very average and I probably wouldnt bother if in the area again.

We were in Wanaka on Sunday, wandering across Pembroke Park’s craft market, looking for local make gift. We were disappointed with both the choice, quality and prices of items on display.
It just happened that we dropped in to a shop called ORIGINZ, after having breakfast in nearby bakery (Dough Bin) along Ardmore Street. This gift shop had everything designed and made in New Zealand. The quality of products was good, with plenty of varieties. Surprisingly the prices of product were better than those in that so called Craft Market. We purchased a few items to take home. The service was also great.

Lots of stalls ..... just happened on this market as was passing through ...bought some great presents to take home that were unique - something you can't find in the big gift shops.
A few interesting characters to talk to.... people seem friendly and genuinely interested here... most don't care for US tourists...

Only open from 3 to 6pm thurssay. Went for a look to kill some time. Nice little market consisting of no more than 20 stalls varying from locally made soaps to knitted crafts, lovely wood turned bowls to polished stone jewelry.

Attended Thursday afternoon. Circa 10 stalls, soaps, candles, patisserie, and assorted local craft.
All good quality, though limited variety.
Highlight would be the patisserie - wide selection of bread, macaroons, pastries - they seemed to sell quickly (perhaps a reflection on the lack of a decent baker in Wanaka).

There are not many stalls, maybe 12 or so, Crafts, Soap, candles, cheese, pastries, empanadas, roast Chestnuts and flavoured waters. The chestnuts were delicious, as were the empanadas and cakes! We went at 4pm on Thursday afternoon.

Fresh fruits at reasonable price. More spacious and comfortable to shop on a Sunday morning than Queenstown. Several shop owners are the same as Queenstown so we recommend this place if you are here over the weekend. From accessories, pictures to food, a little something for everyone.
Playground nearby for kids to play. Quaint local shops to enjoy and purchase freshly baked pies.

Fabulous morning at the Sunday food and arts market. 9am to 2pm. Excellent place to buy fresh cherries and peonies. I found fabulous NZ Made table coasters of Wanaka here. Nice morning to meet talented people and purchase travel gifts 😀

We heard about this market from the visitor's centre and decided to check it out. There are some delicious artisan honey/jams/chutneys, local arts and crafts, flowers, delicious baking, and woollen products. The most amazing thing for our family was trying out the Hungarian chimney cake which was a novel and learning experience for us. A definite must try. We learnt something new from the friendly chap who was selling the delicious treat to us.

I’m a bit confused? Is the Wanaka market on Thursday or Sunday? What time does the market start?
