Just had a fantastic 3 days doing a section of the A2O. Jill at Lakeland Explorer was amazing. Incredibly easy and efficient to deal with, such a font of knowledge about the region, rented us great bikes, picked us up from where we ended our 3-days and returned us back to Twizel. Highly recommend.

Thanks Jill for great service in shuttling our group of 12 adults and E Bikes to Tekapo from Twizel. Appreciated the commentary about any points of interest along the way. JIll did not rush us and was very happy to give us time to enjoy a coffee prior to leaving.
It was also very helpful getting an accurate weather update and we heeded her advice to delay our start in Tekapo in order to have better conditions for our ride.
Will definitely recommend this company to our friends.

I made a last minute decision to do part of the Alps to Ocean track and Jill from Lakeland Explorer was brilliant. She sorted out my accommodation, bike, bag transfers and gave advice where to eat. It was raining the day I was meant to leave and as I wasn’t in a hurry she suggested delaying my trip for a day and then rearranged all my accommodation. She gave a very personalised trip at a very reasonable price. I would really recommend using Jill and Lakeland Explorers

Jill from Lakeland Explorer is amazing! Made everything so easy and checked in with us each morning, advising us on weather and giving recommendations for things to do along the way. Great bikes that we hired from them and accom and food the whole way was fab. Would highly recommend, it was an incredible few days.

Jill from Lakeland Explorer organised the transport, bike hire, accommodation, meals and back-up van for our Alps2Ocean trip. From the pre-trip communication through on-trip support and information to the post-trip photos her service was superb. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Jill and Lakeland Explorer and would happily use their services again.

We did a custom tour with Jill for an early family Christmas. It was a great day out and Jill was a great host, totally flexible, and supplied a wonderful lunch. We stopped at a few places for photos on the way and spent a very entertaining afternoon at Ian’s Quirky Tours at Tasman Downs.

Thanks Jill for making our A2O bike ride so easy by relocating our car from the start (Tekapo) to the end (Oamaru). Also having our bags forwarded each day to our accommodation was great, especially on the wet day, knowing we had dry clothes to get in to. An amazing bike ride enjoyed by all - even the more challenging parts. Highly recommend you to sort the bags and vehicle. Thanks heaps - Sandy, Dave, Pete & Vicky

We can totally recommend Jill and her team. Nothing was too much trouble and she had researched the best cafe's and accommodation in the area. From giving Jill an initial brief she tailor made us the perfect holiday. Jill listen to our families needs, cycling abilities, budget, and was flexible and accommodating to us. We cant wait to revisit favorite parts of A2O and you can be sure Jill will be getting our business. If you want a small local operator with personal service be sure to give Jill a call.

Dealing with Jill from Lakeland has been a breeze. She's super good at comms, always answering emails and messages super fast. A very reactive person. I planned my alps to ocean trip at the last minute as I wanted to make sure I had a good window of good weather. I pretty much called Jill at 3pm saying I would be in Twizel the next hour! She met me at the hotel an hour later, I picked my bike, she gave me the paniers and we met the next day to head to Mount Cook. It all went great. And goodness, the trip was magic. Fabulous landscapes. But it was hard work, long hours in the saddle, some crossing of streams with high flow, pushing through pavers, but in the end that was an adventure. Camping in the wild along the lake pukaki with no one around. Just loved the experience and highly recommend it to anyone who wants to see wild NZ rather than the NZ with many tourists around. Jill is lovely and I really enjoyed using her services. She even came to pick me up and this other cycling buddy met along the way when she heard the Ohau weir was closed. A+++++

Alan and I were very lucky and won a weekend getaway prize with Mackenzie Region. We were greeted by Jill and Jan who dropped us off for the Lake Benmore bike ride. Jill was very informative and shared a lot of interesting information along the way. The ride is well worth it and so picturesque. Definitely a must do in Twizel thank you.....
