We went to Fiji for the snorkelling and was looking for a great snorkelling trip out. We initially went with South Sea Cruises to South Sea Island but was a little disappointed in the time we had for snorkelling there and the coral wasn't that great there. The Coral Cat goes out to further locations these are better for snorkelling. We were taken to the Pinnacle Reef which was amazing for coral. After lunch (which was also great) we went for a snorkel and fish feeding at the Mololo Sandbank. There, we fed the fish and there were literally thousands of tropical fish eating out of your hand. It was such a special experience. The crew were a great bunch, very attentive, helpful, entertaining and funny. The cruise left around 9 in the morning and we were there back to resort by 5.15. This trip was definitely the highlight of our holiday. They also provided water, fresh fruit and biscuits for morning and afternoon tea. Most of the seating was on netting between the hulls with bean bags added for extra comfort. There is some indoor and bench seating but why would you need that when the experience is to be sailing and enjoying the beautiful sea air. There were 25 ppl on board and it didn't feel crowded at all, it was just the right amount of ppl on board. If you do this cruise, which i absolutely highly recommend, don't be put off by the long travel times (around 3 hours total) but do wear sunscreen or better still cover up as much as you can as you are in the elements for all of the day. This cruise accommodates for all people, young and old. The crew also provide snorkel guidance. We saw sea horses too! Absolutely amazing!!1 Well done to the crew.

Highly recommend a day on the Coral Cat as part of your Fiji plans!
Because our flight home didn't leave Fiji until 10pm and we had to check out of the hotel early, we decided to spend our last day cruising towards Mamaluca islands. (Secret admission: I wanted to get a feel for where Survivor is filmed :) ) We looked at few options and went with Coral Cat because we specifically wanted a more intimate catamaran sailing experience.
Right from initial contact, the Coral Cat staff was great in answering numerous questions and helping us figure out the logistics. We checked out of our Sigatoka resort early in the morning and instead of the (1.5hr) ride back to the airport, we asked to be taken to Nadi harbor (Port Denarau). The Coral Cat staff stored our suitcases for the day and at the end of the day a staff member brought us to the airport. Super convenient!
The sail itself was fabulous. It felt luxurious to have a boat to almost ourselves (family of 2 adults with 3 kids ages 9-14) given there was only one other customer on the boat that day. (Also I saw a competing boat packed to the gills with tourists... not so relaxing, especially during Covid times.). Mac and the rest of the crew were excellent and did everything to make our day enjoyable and easy. They were friendly and helpful, sharing a lot of good information, passing fruit snacks and just in general being fun and chatty. And I noticed they were obsessive about keeping the catamaran clean :)
The crew set out a fishing line and we got a lucky surprise: My husband was thrilled to get to pull out a Spanish Mackerel which the crew arranged to have grilled for us for a nominal fee at lunch time. We first stopped for a guided snorkel at a gorgeous site with incredible table coral and lots of tropical fish. I could have snorkeled there all day! We then continued (with the help of a motor due to lack of wind on the outbound trip) to Malolo island picnic spot which had a cocktail bar. The picnic area had a beautiful little lagoon where the kids had fun feeding the fish remnants of their box lunch we were given. We loved the amazing grilled Spanish mackerel (which we shared with crew and other picnic area tourists given there was so much fish). After lunch we visited a 2nd snorkel site which didn't have much coral but instead provided an unbelievable number of tropical fish: it was like snorkeling in a tighltly packed salt water aquarium. The sail back (more wind on the return trip) was super relaxing and the whole family enjoyed warm ocean breezes and chilling on the bean bag chairs. Thanks to Coral Cat, we left Fiji with great big smiles on our faces. Sota tale!
(Note: The catamaran had plenty of shade, we had been worried about this prior to the sail and they welcomed my husband to bring his beers along also.)

Amazing day - not one fault!! Crew were lovely and so much fun. There was only 8 of us so not enough to do the bbq lunch but all food from the restaurant at musket cove was paid for instead, and the food was delicious so no complaints at all. Snorkelling was beautiful, lots of colourful coral and fish, even saw a reef shark a seahorse and got to hand feed the fish. Would highly recommend and would book again.

Coral Cats is probably one of the best day tours you can do.
The catamaran is spectacular and has beach bags on netting over the water. We were able to put the sails up and enjoy some true sailing.
The crew were amazing, they were extremely helpful, funny and engaging with all the guests.
It was the Captain’s birthday so we got to sing and had cake.
We stopped at two snorkel spots and saw the most incredible coral reefs and every type of fish imaginable.
A very delicious BBQ lunch was provided over at Muscat Cove and a great chance to just swim in the water and jump off the boat.
On the way back the crew made beautiful items out of palm fronds and made sure all the kids and the ladies got one (I was given a beautiful flower for my sun hat).
This is a small company that really knows how to look after its clients. Please do yourself a favour and book this tour (instead of the big commercial ones).
You won’t regret it and have the memories of a lifetime!
My absolute favourite 👌

I can’t recommend this experience enough to all that are searching to do an amazing snorkelling experience in Fiji! Our day started at 10am (we choose this time because of the kids) you can decide what type suits you. We met at the Port Marina and the journey was one of the most incredible experiences of our lives!

The team has dedicated a Marina expert to do and show the kids around at sea inclusive with our fee for the day which costed us $1,100 for 8 people, boat hire, fuel surcharges, snorkelling guide, fresh fruit platter and drinks all inclusive to our fee. The kids enjoyed this and felt safe during the entire boat ride, snorkelling gear was also provided!

The team of two looked out for our kids as if it was their own. We went to Musket Cove for lunch & continue stopping in gorgeous areas to snorkel such as the pinnacle. Thank you again to the team, reach out to Mac and Tix from Coral Cats they are incredibly amazing and you will not be disappointed on where they will take you to snorkel and experience Fiji properly! 😍

The people of Fiji are fantastic people. Every where you go people are so friendly and don’t expect anything in return. This snorkeling experience was by far fantastic. The crew was so friendly and hospitable. They provide you really good fruit juice and water, plus an awesome fruit tray. They take you out to two great snorkeling spots with vibrant coral reefs and abundant fish. The first spot was gorgeous. After that they take you to an island to eat lunch. The food was really good and they feed you a lot. They had 3 different salads with local ingredients. They were all really good. Plus steak, lamb, chicken and sausage. They also had yummy garlic bread. After lunch they took us to a sand bar which had a great reef loaded with star fishes and sea horses and of course schools of fish. Lastly on the ride back the crew made really cool crowns, bracelets and caracteres out of palm leaves. Really one of the best experiences our family has ever had. Highly recommend this for the whole family. Way Better than our snorkeling excursions in Hawaii because of the price, food and the Fijian people.

Highly recommend taking a snorkeling excursion with Coral Cats!

We were a couple (2 adults) looking to do some snorkeling around the area and Mac and Tico took us to three great spots (including "honeymoon island") with incredible sea life and coral reefs. They were great hosts and knowledgable about what we were seeing. When we were in the water, Tico would often point out sea life and coral that we might have missed (including moving coral, squid, a puffer fish and a sting ray).

It was the perfect intimate experience and allowed us to be flexible for what we wanted to do (more snorkeling vs. site seeing the islands from the boat) but they're very open to whatever you prefer to do and adjusted based on our interests. We were staying at the Marriott Resort (Nadi) and they picked us up at the resort dock which was was very convenient (it did cost a bit more but was worth it). Both were excellent hosts and had lots to share about local life - we will 100% work with them again if/when we get back to Fiji.

This tour is the best! From start to finish - one bonus was that my husband pulled in a Spanish mackerel that was cooked on the island - it was delicious & shared between passengers & crew. Sami took us snorkeling x 2 spots, both were excellent. On the day we saw a turtle & lots of dolphins! CoVID safe lunch boxes were well thought out & we were asked before if we had any dietary requirements.
Best value for money.

Well we have been locked down for a few months now and I was so glad I joined my kids to this day cruise with Cpt Andrew and my two Fijian brothers Jo and Sikeli who were the crew of the day.
We were welcome by a very warm Bula shout from Sikeli and followed by their instructions of the day cruise. Beautiful sunshine with blue waters so refreshing and I was just amazed by the creation of God.
I recommend this cruise for anyone who wants to enjoy the fresh air with blue sea to take away your exhausted and locked down mode.

Vinaka Cpt Andrew and Coral Cats keep it up

This was really pleasant - the crew as well as the front desk staff are all great. Tchiko deserves a special mention, is seems to do everything well: entertain, inform, chat with all the passengers (an remembers their names!).
The day at sea is a fantastic experience, just the sound of the sails and the wave is such a relaxing way to go to the coral location.
Also they educate about the coral and respect the fragile environment (unlike others that we have experienced).
In all a perfect day out.
