Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

This is wonderful spot rich in history so a must visit.
However, we didn't get a tour guide as per our admission fee because it was manned by one person only and she wasn't helpful.
The info centre is neatly kept with lots of information but the monuments as not kept properly. We didn't step into the Ammunition Room as it was buzzing with hornets.
No signs at the monuments so you are left to your own resources to explore.
Wear comfortable shoes as it's uneven land.
Scenic views are breathtakingly beautiful.
2 ways to enter the place - one is very terrible feeder road and the other is better but the lady recommended the terrible feeder road to return - not sure why. Low cars are not recommended for the trip.

As a history-buff, I had seen info for the historical park when researching our trip and wanted to visit as we were staying near by in the Marriott. We were able to arrange a driver through the hotel and it was well worth it. Will the spot is not very large, the visitors centre has lots of info and photographs. The person at the desk explained the area for us and was available to answer any questions. From there you're able to walk around and check out the different sites and the guns by yourself. We were the only ones there at the time as well. Well worth the visit to this unique spot and supporting a national trust site!

This is a must visit place for those who love to visit out of tourist trail..overlooking the Momi Bay is a historical park where vintage guns from World War Ii remind the visitor of the ever present danger early 1940's gave to the British interests in far down Pacific .This one though in Fiji located 140 minutes drive from Suva and then a little climb to a tranquil area with enchanting views .
One can also see abandoned rusted War machine nearby even as two well maintained guns with it's turrets give the visitor an idea of the then dangers of everything falling like nine pins against an advancing Japanese invasion .
A great day out ...keep 4-6 hours to enjoy the trip .

Could not find it. Once you turn off the main highway there is no signage...so we just followed the road which turned to dirt and landed up at Seashells at MoMi resort where we had tea and pancakes ! Delicious.

Drove here (c30mins from Nadi), had difficulty finding it (ask your hotel), gravel road towards the end where there is a gun battery perched atop a hill overlooking Navula Passage, the crucial waterway into Viti Levu ("big Island" of Fiji) ports. Battery was built after Japanese expressed hostilities elsewhere during WW2 in case they decided to attack Fiji. Fortunately they never did. Now there are the remaining 6 inch calibre guns and their turrets hosted by a native Fijiian who was quite charming. Apparently the Fijiian Govt is trying to create a visitor centre but there is a lot of work to be done. The access road is manageable by regular cars. Great vista from the hilltop. 5F$ entry.

Though the road to Momi Battery is unsealed it isn't an issue in dry season. We really enjoyed our short tour of the battery but the view of Navula Passage and the southern Mamanucas really made it awesome. The staff are very friendly and knowledgeable. Make sure you take the correct change for entry - FJD$5 per adult. Though there is a small store a bit further down the road that will give you change and cold drinks, food etc. The senior ranger here has great plans for developing the site but waiting for the government funding required means it will probably be sometime before much happens.

Informative about Fiji history during WW II. Clean and well maintained historical place. Nice view across the Pacific Ocean from the gun stand: king and queen. They also have chart and pictures inside the information center.

The battery was a World War II installation to protect the island. The visitors' centre provides a large amount of background detail to help you understand the site and its historic context. The site itself is small, but the buildings and two cannon are well preserved and give you a good feel for how it was. But the views over the bay are really spectacular and make the visit special. It's not easy to find - there are no signs, so you need to take a map and even then you may need to ask for help from some locals, but it's worth the effort.

We were taken here by TourByLocals as we were looking for somewhere we had not been and off the main tourist trail. The access road is rough with only parts being sealed. The visitor's centre is well setup with good explanations of the historic significance over the two World Wars. The display boards were interesting and in places amusing. The short walk up to the battery and the explanation by the Ranger was visually attractive and the guns impressive
