Such an awesome way to see the beautiful islands off the Fijian mainland and experience the Fijian way of life. Loved the cosy little cabin, the crew were wonderful (especially Nau, Sana and Wati- always ready to help) and the food was pretty good too. The snorkeling was brilliant with beautiful fish and coral, and there were some great trips ashore.
Such a great bunch of kind and friendly passengers from all over the world too!
Definitely recommend this trip!

Such a fun cruise- the staff are incredibly cheerful and bend over backwards to help! Lots of great snorkeling daily, and we felt as though we really saw a real side of village life. Nau-the activity director managed to take us in a culturally appropriate way into several small villages for church, dinner, and school visits. All Fijians sing and have lovely voices!

To be honest the 3/5 review is not a true reflection of the 6 stars I would like to award the staff for their friendliness and efforts made to make our experience memorable. Big thanks to Sana (Doctor) who looked after me when I came down with some tummy bug. For us this was our first dip of our toe into the water for ocean cruises. Admittedly it was not the 1000+ capacity vessel that you may associate with mainstream cruises. This was 60 max which was what enticed us to give it a go. While meeting some great people from around the globe, structured holidays such as this are not for us. First and definitely our last cruise holiday.

As with the passenger numbers the rooms are also small. The toilet/shower was certainly different. Basically a cubicle that when the shower was turned on everything was saturated. Toilet, floors … everything. If you are claustrophobic the shower will be a hurdle. The vessel is somewhat overdue for a major refit to bring it up to the standards that experiences of this price point warrant. The website photos show an onboard pool to cool off however it was never filled while on board and seemed to be used for storage. Suspect it has not been working for some time.

The food overall was good though it was at best variable. There was a sense from others we spoke to that the quality of food seemed to decline for those on the longer 7 day cruise we joined mid-point. What was very disappointing as our introduction was the ‘picnic’ lunch packed for us when we arrived onboard in a cooler bag to take to the sandbar before we went snorkelling. Without an ice block in the tropics is nuts. Risky way to start the voyage for us so kept to the fruit. Would have even much better for us to have had a light meal onboard before being ferried across to the other passengers on the beach.

Having read Tripadvisor reviews and taking the advice NOT to have a cabin close to where the anchors were released (and placing this request in writing weeks before ) seemed a reasonable request. Sadly, we were placed in a cabin where the anchors were hauled up and released. HELLO!

Our package did include an upgrade if available, however we were told the cruise was fully booked but this was not the case we found when we boarded. We did finally manage to get upgraded after some discussion.

Overall, the staff were faultless. Nau was a real star and deserves the promotion.

If it your first trip to Fiji then weigh it up and do your research. If you have been to Fiji before and visited the local village to buy some shells or dropped into a village school to feel guilty and buy more shells then perhaps this is for you. Personally would be much happier to know that a levy from each tourist was going directly to the people via the tour operator.

Has so much potential but did not tick all the boxes for us.

Vinaka for the review and sorry you were unwell but it sounds like you were well looked after. Regarding a few of your comments, yes, the bathrooms are small hence why they are marketed as 'yacht-style' ensuites. The refit is underway at the moment which will give the vessel a great facelift. Thank you for the comment re the food (both the picnic and decline over the cruise), we will pass this along to our Corporate Chef. Vinaka.

Fabulous 7 night cruise with excellent crew.
They kept us busy every day, snorkelling, swimming, scenic cruising. Beautiful islands of Yassawa and Mamanucca islands. We visited 2 schools, probably 1 too many, village tour, good hike to a lovely tea shop, and Grandma's souvenir shop. Excellent value with MyCruises.
Did I say, the crew are amazing... especially Nau.

This was my first time to Fiji & what an amazing way to visit the Yasawa Islands!
We had an opportunity to snorkel daily and sometimes twice a day - all beautiful locations - sometimes from the beach and sometimes from the tender boats. We visited a variety of islands and had an opportunity to meet villagers and learn a little about how they live.
I participated in most of the activities and I enjoyed every minute of it!
The Fiji Princess is the perfect sized ship with only 32 cabins, so I was able to meet most of the guests.
The staff are also great, especially the amazing cruise director, Nau Dakuiliga, she seemed to always be available to assist with anything that was needed. She is very kind, helpful and a real pleasure to be around. I don’t remember many of the other staff names, but I found Sana (bartender) and the tender boat operators were great!

This trip was an up close and personal cruise with just 64 guests and probably 1/2 as many cruise workers. These are just a few of the people who made our trip so memorable-cruise director "Nau", all tender drivers especially "Watii" and the other two whose names I forget, Gus (thanks again for the mangos!) Sana at the bar, Maureen in reception & Dau for getting our A/C working. Two points-if you can, bring any school supplies, sporting equipment, ladies bras (you can't get a job there if you don't have a bra and they are expensive for the Fiji women to buy), or anything else but run it by the cruise desk if you have question. They visit the school each week but not all the islands. Nau can tell you what islands don't get visited very often. And if you don't mind the stairs take the top floor rooms (they are most all alike but some of the lower rooms in the front hear more of the anchors & tender boats going up and down. We were a group of six Americans who made friends with almost everyone. You Aussies still talk funny! Thanks everyone for making us feel welcome.

The trip itself was amazing from start to finish. The beautiful Yasawa islands were positively jaw-droppingly beautiful, and what an intimate and luxurious way to experience these Islands!!!

Blue Lagoon Cruises delivered exceptional service, an outstanding itinerary, entertainment galore (singing, instruments and dancing, both on shore, and on board) and ensured we ate and drank very well!! Champagne in the morning… delicious varieties of desserts, local cuisine..

I was also particularly impressed by how much snorkelling we did! That was my main goal on the trip, and it did not disappoint !!! We snorkeled every day, and twice on one of the days, including with sharks!!!

The cultural visits to villages and opportunity to experience the Fijian culture, way of life and peoples was incredibly illuminating.

I would highly recommend BLC for a great balance between activity and relaxation, in an upscale setting with outdoor recreation at your beck and call. My spa treatment (massage) on the back upper deck was divine!

From the line fishing trip we did (6 fish caught!) to the swimming with sharks, a barbecue feast on the beach and diving off the back of the ship into aquamarine coloured waters, BL Cruises guided us through it all perfectly.

In particular, I need to add this: I met one of the kindest and most hard-working, capable people I’ve ever met in my life. The cruise Director, Nau Dakuiliga, made everything perfect for my friend and myself!! Any question we had, any issue, she was there to answer, to solve and encourage, with the upmost kindness and gentle personality.

I was having problems with my mask fogging, and before I could even find her, she was there helping me, showing me how to defog my mask and doing it for me. She also taught me how to dive down and equalize properly with such joyous encouragement!
Always with her wonderful smile and kindness.

Even when she was obviously very busy, Nau would always stop what she was doing to say Bula and if we needed anything. Every time we interacted with Nau, she went above and beyond.

All the crew were hospitable and great, but Nau is one of those exceptional people whose kindness and bright soul illuminates everyone around her!
All service industry people should be as kind, clever, generous and humourous as her 😊

Overall, Blue Lagoon cruises was a wonderful way to experience not only the lands of Fiji, but the beautiful people who are lucky enough to call it home!!!

We have raved about the last trip we did in 2010 so we came back with 4 friends to enjoy 7 days in paradise.

Sadly we were a little disappointed with some aspects of this cruise.

The ship itself is outdated, rusting and in need of some TLC.
The cabins were ok and as the trip is not about being in your cabin this didn't particularly worry us. But be aware that the bathroom is tiny and the cabin will get wet and stay damp the whole trip.
I would suggest they do not advertise WiFi as it was almost non existent which is fine but don't advertise something that is clearly not readily available.
However, I think the hygiene needs addressing, there were many guests on our trip who contracted some form of gastro. Not sure now much disinfectant is used but we never smelt a whiff of it at all so I'm guessing not much. Hand sanitising was not encouraged or even mentioned - dispensers sat mostly unused on each deck. People hovering over buffets are always dodgy. Maybe carting food ashore unrefrigerated is not a great idea? Chicken pies etc
The laundry was hit and miss - not sure how much detergent was used and some towels were definitely smelly when clean.

Due to the weather (wind) our trip was altered so a little disappointed to not reach the most northerly section but that's boating life and the Captain and crew tried to persevere for which we thank them.

***** The staff were awesome and amazing - a huge shout out to Nau and absolutely everyone else. These people work non stop to make everyone happy and they succeed.

Highlights were snorkelling with sharks and going into the caves. Both fantastic experiences. The pristine waters of Fiji are just glorious as are the Fijian people.

Vinaka for the review and sorry your experience was not as you had hoped. In response to a few of your points above: We do advertise the bathrooms as 'yacht-style' as they are quite compact WiFi is definitely a problem throughout the Yasawa Islands although Fiji Princess is out of the water at the moment getting a re-fit and more reliable/stronger WiFi is on the list There was a nasty Gastro bug throughout Fiji and the Yasawa Islands in October which is something that does tend to circulate around Fiji at times. Thank you for your comments about the staff, we will pass on your feedback. Vinaka.

What an awesome trip this was! Incredible locations for snorkelling with lots of pristine colourful corals, wide variety of beautiful fish, warm water. The crew were fantastic with lovely service - special mention must go to the always cheerful, helpful and informative cruise director Nau who always made herself available to give more information and support if needed. Also the great barmen including Joe and Watson, plus kind Maureen 😀
Food was always plentiful, and the seafood - especially the fresh fish - perfect 👌
The visits to villages and a school were great, although the rough seas meant we had some visits cancelled unfortunately.
The boat itself had a very relaxed atmosphere - we loved that you could be barefoot with a top over swimmers - no worries 👍
Rooms are a bit small including the bathroom - but it's a small boat so expected.
Entertainment was great with different activities every night.
Met lots of like minded people, mostly fellow Aussies.
Highly recommended to see more of gorgeous Fiji 🇫🇯

We had a best time of our lives at our recent adventure with Blue Lagoon Cruise in Fiji. We literally booked at the last minute and didn't do much research however we made a best decision. We did a 4 night cruise but we felt so gutted that we should have done a 7 night one however we will definitely come back. The awesome crew makes you fall in love with beautiful people of Fiji and their hospitality is a different level. The cruise takes you to some really remote islands and untouched beaches. They take you to some awesome village tours and you can experience actual first hand Fiji customs.
The Kava ceremony is very touching and drinking Kava traditionally is a beautiful experience.
Me and my wife, both are not so confident swimmers however their crew made sure that we did not miss out on the beautiful snorkeling Fiji has to offer. 'Nau Dakuiliga' literally held our hand in the ocean and kept hold of us at all times to make sure we enjoy as well as be safe. Same goes to 'Captain Marven' who looked after me while snorkeling in some stunning reefs.
They cook amazing food at the cruise and they make sure you are well fed. We miss our favorite omelette chef, Mr. K (Kala Saukuru), what a beautiful human who makes lovely personalized omelettes for you every morning.
Customer service manager, Ben is a great man who assisted us with our laundry till the last minute of our cruise.
We will definitely come back to cruise with Blue lagoon again, especially to meet the beautiful staff again who becomes part of your family.
