We booked this cruise last minute having arrived in Fiji for a chill down after charging around Australia and New Zealand for three months. We had no expectation at all having never thought about or wanting to do a cruise before and booked the five night four day option. It was an absolute amazing experience and we are so glad we discovered it. Staff were second to none. It felt just like a big family. Food was all locally sourced and fresh and healthy. Lots of choice. Cabins were perfect.....we had all our luggage with us and still plenty of room to stow everything. The island visits and culture organised for us was a perfect balance with the activities of paddle boarding, snorkelling and kayaking. You could do as much or as little as you wanted to do with no pressure. The children that were on the cruise were beautifully behaved and a credit to their parents. They only allow children at certain times of the year apparently so bear that in mind when booking. All the guests were friendly and we met some great people. Again you could socialise as much or as little as you wanted too. I felt very humbled by the welcome by the Captain and crew and then when we left they sang us a beautiful song to us about saying goodbye. Quite emotional but in a beautiful positive energised way. I can not recommend this company enough and the experience of it all will be with me forever I think. Thank you to all the crew and the fellow passengers for making it such a lovely experience

Ni sa Bula Vinaka Raomi I had to reach for the tissues, half way through reading your review. We cant thank you enough for 1) choosing to cruise with Blue Lagoon Cruises and 2) for your emotional but wonderful review. We are thrilled our crew achieved your wishes (plus more by the sounds of it) of being able to get you to relax & unwind after a very busy 3 months on the road. Enjoy the rest of your holiday & safe travels. The crew will love receiving your review. Thank you.

Our family of 6 (grandparents, mum, dad and two children 3 and 7) enjoyed the 4 night cruise in January 2020 around the Yasawa Islands. What a truly memorable experience. We enjoyed snorkelling, paddle boarding, swimming and kayaking, hiking, cooking the lovo, a meke performance, swimming in a cave....I can’t believe what was fitted into 4 days. The shore visits to the villages were great; such friendly welcoming people, my kids loved tearing around with the local kids and have formed beautiful memories of their Fiji visit.
We were always treated with a cheerful ‘Bula’ by the crew. Nau the activities manager was so good helping with our kids on the shore excursions and snorkelling; thanks for the coconut hunting and husking Nau!!
The food was superb. The kids loved the endless pot of vanilla ice cream (seemed to be made on board), baked goods and cookies to die for.
Note that children are allowed on particular cruises during school holidays so check the dates.

This is a fantastic cruise that has been on my bucket list for 45 years. We had an absolutely fabulous time. The crew were all wonderful, very hard working and friendly. Maureen, the cruise director was particularly kind and helpful in every respect.

This was a fantastic way to see the Yasawa and Mamanuca Islands and the local people and culture. Each day was a wonderful and new experience. The church service on Sunday was a moving and extraordinary experience. I appreciate the fact that the cruise line helps financially support the local communities by working with them to share their culture with others.

It's hard to pinpoint a favorite day or place but Tuesday and Wednesday were at the top of the list. Blue Lagoon has a private beach on Nanuya Island that is gorgeous and offered a beautiful day of paddle boarding, kayaking, swimming, snorkeling and a wonderful meal prepared from the fire pit. A local village provided the evening entertainment which was a lot of fun. The next morning we did a very hot and humid hike to Lo's Tea Shop which was fun with gorgeous scenery along the way.

Wednesday afternoon was the Sawa-I-Lau Caves activity which is definitely an activity not to miss!

All in all this cruise was a fantastic trip of a lifetime. It is definitely not a luxury cruise but an intimate one that is extraordinary! We would love to do it again....and maybe we will!

Bula Vinaka 29cjd What a review of a lifetime! Certainly sounds like you made the most of every day during your Cruise & the wait was well & truly worth it. We offer many wonderful promtional opportunities throughout the year for various cruise dates that you'll be able to take advantage of to enable you to come back sooner rather than later we hope. Keep an eye out for these opportunities on the official Blue Lagoon Cruises website. (Sorry - Trip Advisor does not allow us to promote our website on this forum). Vinaka vaka levu (thank you very much) for taking the time to write your review. Will certainly pass it on to Maureen & our wonderful crew. Lauren

Did the 7 day cruise with around 20 pax. Crew are wonderful and hard working with the exception of one individual (keep reading). Shout out to Captain Ji and James, Nau, Misi and Fee, Wati. The capitain in one cool dude!
Boat is in pretty good shape, but a few warts are apparent. Cabins are nice, air conditioned and represent a safe haven from the muggy weather. The wet bathroom is fine and the shower, sink, medicine cabinet and toilet are pretty new, but why oh why would you not replace the rusty toilet roll holder. It's the little things like this that constantly cropped up that keep my rating at a four rather than a 5.
Food is tasty but gets to be repetitious after awhile. The espresso machine is great for your morning coffee and eggs any way are appreciated. Good desserts, cakes, squares, bread and buns. Also, requested ketchup but it was not available until they got some on the 4 day turnover. Then it disappeared again. Recommend the lamb sausages.
Shore excursions overall were really great. It was interesting to get a taste of Fijian culture, to see the schools, villages and their way of life, but are very hot so be warned. A sarong and no hat are requirements for visiting a village, so shade is welcome.
Beaches are always gorgeous and lunches and dinners ashore very nice. Snorkelling was often not very good as the coral was pretty dead. The shark feeding was great. The caves were really good and people should definitely do this one. The day on their private island, with paddle boarding, kayaking, kava tasting and lovo dinner was terrific.

Now, Harry who functions as the “Cruise Director” and Crew leader is very close to useless. He doesn't seem to care. When I mentioned that you cannot hear his annmt's in the lounge or the restaurant, he replied “yes, I know”. That tells you the attitude that he gives. Unfortunately people are looking for guidance as to the daily activities and timing, but it wasn't forthcoming from him. He was invisible. There is a daily itinerary on your bed the night before, but things are often not on that schedule. We just need a bit more communication.
I would recommend this cruise and hopefully they will get their act together on the little things.

Bula Vinaka NotYouAgan You are correct - it is the simple things that sometimes get overlooked when we all tend to look at the same things every day, however we are guilty from time to time of not noticing the little things & no excuses for this. We do ask & remind our passengers should they find any maintenance issues to complete a maintenance form so we can attend to these tasks asap. We do appreciate you letting us know. Love all the comments re our fabulous crew & noted re Harry's unusual demeanor & will be addressed. Harry was relieving CD on your cruise. Thanks again for the review & thrilled you had a wonderful time on board Blue Lagoon Cruises.

Whether you choose the 3, 4, or 7-day stay you will have the best cruise experience. The 46ish cabin Fiji Princess is smaller than most cruise liners, and in this case small is good. The crew made this trip so special for my group; there were five of us. Two in the group have special needs, and the crew were so welcoming, considerate, and kind. The activities leader Nau Dakuiliga showed us so many wonderful places and experiences. Underground swimming caves, sharks, giant manta rays, coral, octopus, cuddlefish, starfish, and visits to the village too. The balance of ship and land activities is good, and plenty of opportunity for snorkeling. I also did a scuba diving excursion, which was coordinated by Blue Lagoon and takes place at Manta Ray resort. The food is terrific, with tea twice per day and plenty of beverages (daily refresh of refrigerator bar is free!) and food. This is the best way to see Yasawa islands! Special thanks and shout out to Jamesa, Susana, Abel, Jovesa, and the Captain.

We were late booking and so only the 3 day cruise was available. We joined a great group of people and crew for our short trip. It was the first part of a longer 7night cruise and I would recommend the longer cruise as the best is further out to the Yasawas. However we enjoyed our small cruise very much.
Yep The Crew and the food were fabulous. Nau our Cruise Director was exceptional in her duties, always there with a smile and good humour to lead the entertainment, accompany us on snorkelling adventures or challenge us in Karaoke 🎶😂. Big thanks to Si and Joe as well as others for their service and smile, nothing was too much trouble, even a piggy back when injured was done with reassurance and a smile 👍🥰

Bula Kiwinzg Now that sounded like a great time had by all. Thanks for the great review & only sorry we couldn't accommodate you on the 7 night cruise. Guess it means you'll just have to come back & see us. When you do, don't forget to ask our fabulous team for your returnee discount. From Nau & all the crew Vinaka Vaka Levu (thank you very much) for joining us.

My 8yr old son and I spent 4 nights aboard Blue Lagoon cruise. Cruising the Yasawa islands.
Initially we were transferred by powered catamaran to the 55m. Vessel on its voyage. We met with fellow travellers and began a journey very comfortable and seriously worthwhile. Meeting local Fijian villages learning their cultures and they definitely are genuinely warm and welcoming.
All staff on board were most helpful and ready and willing to assist with any requests. The cabins are comfortable and food is enjoyable with local Fijian grown produce consisting of chicken fish and lamb.
Plenty to do or just relax. Stand up paddle boards, kayaks and snorkelling.
Clear warm tropical waters.
It was definitely upsetting to all guests to be sung a warm farewell by the crew.
Would recommend it definitely on a bucket list.

Bula Tony12398 What a great experience for you to share with your 8 year old son. Such an adventure for children who have such an opportunity to experience a unique culture. Our crew really enjoy our family travel dates we offer throughout the year when the children get to come on board. There's nothing like seeing the smile or hearing a childs laughter when having a great time with our crew, as is always the case with our endearing crew. A memory you'll both hold on to for a lifetime. Vinaka vakalevu for sharing your travels with us.

Everyday was packed full of fun adventures like - snorkeling , swimming ,village tours , fishing and of course eating , drinking and just relaxing. You could do as much as you wanted or as little. Bula Vinaka lmeertens We all appreciate your wonderful 5 star review, vinaka. I've sent this through to the Captain to share with his crew. It really is a great holiday and although it is a cruise we are proud to offer such a totally different experience to that of most "cruise ships" where they may be over 1000 passengers who are at sea for days before they arrive at their next destination. As you know a Blue Lagoon Cruise is so totally different, being a small ship cruise with only 34 cabins (total of 68 guests) and a maximum cruise time of 4 hours per day which allows you to experience the beauty and magic of the stunning Yasawa and Mamanuca Islands, as you have said - "packed full of fun adventures". We look forward to welcoming you back and please dont hesitate to let our res team know when you are wishing to return, as by booking directly with us you will receive your family returnee discount. Warm Fiji Regards

Me and my husband had an amazing time on our 4 day cruise with the Blue Lagoon Cruises on the Fiji princess. I wish we could stay longer. The captain is coolest of all the captains we've met. The crew are absolutely amazing as well, specially Nau Dakuiliga, she made sure i am safe in the water since I'm not so comfortable swimming. They clean your room twice a day while you're out. You can leave your door unlock and no one will touch your stuff. They are absolutely good hearted and an honest crew. This is the first small ship we have cruised on and it's a different experience than the 5000 passenger Royal Caribbean experience. If that is your expectation, don't do it. It is also and older crowd. There are a max of 64 people on the ship, so you get to visit places you would never see on a cruise ship. You also get to know your fellow passengers much better. Coincidently, while in Nadi a cruise ship did show up with its 3000+ passengers.

Vinaka for the review and yes, getting to know your fellow cruisers is a real selling point for our product. We often have guests who arrange to return at the same time to meet up with fellow cruisers again!

My wife and I had a 4 night cruise booked for April but under the current global conditions we unfortunately cancelled. This review is purely to recognise the cancellation policy in place and the seamless, transparent process of getting our money refunded...minus 10% which is most reasonable.
After a few emails back & forth they accepted the cancellation and had the money refunded into our account within about 7-10 days. Thank you BLC for your honesty and efficient processing...much appreciated! Hopefully we'll try another day when the world is 'clean' again.
