We prefersun beds but understand the Thai policy of restricting use. However we found Bang Niang beach much nicer and were a bit disappointed with Bang Thang. Nice to have non smoking policy though with designated areas, something that was not available on the area...More

Me and my husband stayed in a resort right on the beach for 5 days. We loved this beach, especially the rocks in it. We walked along in the day,the sand is soft, the sea crystal clear and fantastic topography. Breathtaking sunsets here! We loved...More

The touristy beach of Khao Lak, clean water and sand, some exotic big trees for shaddow sitting, saw some sealife, too. Some great small bar (even the food was good enough). But is quite busy because there are plenty of beach 5* resorts with private...More

We’ve stayed at the Centara Seaview immediately adjacent to the beach on two occasions, November 2015 an 2017 for a fortnight on both occasions and there was absolutely never any question of its being crowded, nor is it commercialised. It is quiet, civilised and relaxing....More

This is a vey quiet beach. There is near nothing on it for beach goers besides nice sand and warm water. There is one restuarant and a few resorts that have security at their beach entrance if you try to enter. Otherwise, nothing. No massage...More

Access to beach is bit challenging, as there are only few roads coming to beach from main road. Also big resorts were blocking the access to the beach. There are some underwater rocks on the mid southern part of the beach.

Really recommended beach! Close to Phuket airport (1h drive) with good hotels (Nang Thong Beach Resort), clean sand, clean water, sometimes waves sometimes calm, not crowded at all. Go and relax!
