Interesting look at a job I would not want to have to do. Down into the mine, it's dark, damp, very informative retired mine worker guide. Not for the claustrophobic, or anyone who isn't strong and steady enough to walk at least a half a...More

A trip back in history to a time when the area was growing and very wealthy. Also a sobering taste of what daily life was life for the men and children who worked in the mines. Would definitely go again!

We have visited other mining sites and this one was different. Interesting with a very informative guide. Make sure you wear good closed toe shoes (not white, cause they will get dirty) and bring a jacket. This was a ride down in a mining car...More

Quaint little coal mine tour offering some great insight into the coal mine era. Starts off with a very factual (albeit very boring for children) movie and then an old coal mine car takes you slowly into the mine. It's not very deep but it's...More

I would not recommend this for children that young. It's dim, there is not really enough room for a stroller. But more importantly I think that some of the areas may be a bit scary for children that age especially the life... More
