Took my kids (14 & 12) here for dinner. There was so many people! It was just a huge block party. Lots of music and authentic Hispanic Culture everywhere! It was amazing. Make sure you have cash or you will have to stand in line...More

Loved the atmosphere. We happened to run into a festival. They had live music and amazing food stands. The shops had many nice things from clothes, jewelry, home stuff, and souvenirs. Drinks looked delicious but i was not able to try at the moment!

My first mistake was walking all the way over there. Finally, when we got there spent hours walking and didn't buy anything.

If you want to get off the Riverwalk for awhile, this is a fun area to see. We were there on the weekend. Several bands that were fantastic, lots of shops, eat and drink booths, great people watching.

Weekends there are outdoor vendors and food. Weekdays the inside shops boast local and crafts from Mexico. There are still food and drink vendors at the inside market buildings.

This is a bit touristy, but the closest thing you’ll find in San Antonio to local culture. It is lined by shops and stores selling crafts, souvenirs and local cuisine. The food is excellent and very casual. The prices are much more reasonable than what...More

The Market Square is a sensory overload for me! There are flags, decorations, pinatas, and bursts of color everywhere. Smells from the food booths waft through the air. Families, couples, and the elderly are all going to and fro. Laughter, music, and salespeople's voices fill...More

We've visited the Market Square many times, my wife often enriching at least one or two merchants. It's always fun. The last 2 times, we've seen the Hispanic dancers and enjoyed them, especially the children. We've eaten at different places and enjoyed all of our...More

The mercado is the best place to shop for Mexican curios and merchandise in all of San Antonio. And the best Mexican food restaurants in town are there too, especially Mi Tierra. Locals and tourists agree that his is the place to be.

Parking in the area ranges between 5 to 10 dollars. I'm not aware of any free parking. We parked within walking distance to the Alamo, River walk and the Market Square.

Maybe in the outside area but definitely not on the inside unless they are a service animal. I would not recommend it.
