We booked the boat a few days in advance. Long Wharf can be a little difficult to find. As you are standing on the street side sidewalk looking at the Marriott Long Wharf, go to the LEFT side of the hotel and that is where...More

Yes, it's more expensive than the train, but we took the ferry into Boston one morning and it was a nice, relaxing ride right into the harbor and steps from where we wanted to start walking the Freedom Trail.

We loved getting to ride through the swells and learn some history on our way to and from Salem. It was awesome to avoid traffic and have an inside place to stay and use the restroom. Highly rec.

This was a very relaxing way to get to the airport. It was clean and comfortable. The trip from Salem to Boston took a little less than 1 hour a hop on the subway to the airport.

It was a great moment when we learned about this ferry from friends that live in Salem. It doesn’t run year ‘round, but when it does, what a convenience to go right to the heart of Boston is 45 minutes for a very reasonable fee....More

I don't think that's necessary. The ferry seems to run on a very tight schedule and isn't even there until about 10 minutes before departure. Then they have to disembark. I doubt they would give your seats away and also... More
