Only a short time for a hike and with the help of the ranger staff, we did a very pleasant hike of about 1.5 hours, which perfectly with our time limitations. Lots of people but they get dispersed once away from the parking lot and...More

This is a place that you can actually experience Arizona wildlife. You can walk depending on your endurance and motivation. We took a tram to the last stop then we walked all the way to the top. It was a nice view. I should say,...More

We started at the Bear Canyon Trailhead and hiked to the 7 Falls Sabino Canyon. It took us about 4 hours out and back. I would describe this as a moderate to difficult hike. Plan to get wet because you have to walk across 6...More

Plenty of trails to chose from of varying lengths and difficulties. We cobbled a loop together of our own to get in about 5 miles of hiking . Beautiful views , well marked trails and even on President’s Day (but for the information center), it...More

Great place to go in Tucson. You ride the tram up and if you want to walk part of the way back you can hop back on the tram. Beautiful scenery and many varieties of cacti to look at but don't touch!

Taking the shuttle bus is the best way to tour the area to get the history. You can get off to hike and get back on at various stops.

Sabino Canyon has beautiful unique scenery. Withe tram operated by Sabino Canyon Tours even those with limited physical abilities can access the park. One of Tucson's must do vacation activities.

A wonderful tram ride. Our guide's name was Cindy. Knowledgeable and gracious. I learned so much about the area. We could not take the time to hike but many others were doing so. This sight should not be missed in the Tucson area.

We spent the day taking the tram up, hiking some of the trails and walking part way back down. Plus there are walks around the museum center that are easier. The visitor center has nice displays and a short presentation. We hiked from the end...More

I believe you have to park near the visitor center, but there are trails that you can take right from there. Ask the volunteers/staff for trail info. They will give you a map and great trail info! The volunteers are usually... More

After you park you can purchase shuttle tickets at the small building to the left of the visitor center. It may be cash only, I do not remember. Suggestion: ride up, walk down.

No pets are allowed in Sabino Canyon. You may hike with your dog on a leash on Mt. Lemmon, Catalina State Park, and the Loop (the multi-use path along the river banks). The Loop is nice because there are water stations set... More
