Easy to bet to, with interesting informationa out how it was created, with great photos showing how far the glacier has retreated, unfortunately

Beautiful reflective pool
Jan 2021 • Couples
We were lucky enough to visit with no wind and the reflections on the pool where lovely.
The walk in is short and easy and the information board at the pool is great with excellent explanation of kettle pools how these are formed.
You can continue to walk as well if you feel like a bit of additional exercise

Unexpected lovely walk
Nov 2020
A quiet easy amble through west coast bush in light rain to a small pond; with good explanation/story boards. A must do.

Beautiful scenery. Easy access and very well built DOC tracks. We had stunning weather and the beauty was too hard to capture with a camera.

Lovely short walk

This track starts from the Franz Josef glacier carpark and leads to a beautiful small pool which reflects the surrounding mountains. Highly recommend checking it out when you are in the area.

Easy Short Walk
Jul 2020
We would have missed this walk if a couple who just walked it didn't tell us to do it. Its a short and easy walk ending at a beautiful pool which reflects its surroundings.

Well worth the short walk.

A beautiful pond with stunning reflections. Only a sport walk from the start of the walk up to view the glacier. Probably more impressive than the glacier at the moment.

A Lovely Place
Jan 2020
Peter's Pool is a small kettle lake, formed by glacial ice melting through the moraine. On a sunny day, it reflects the mountains surrounding it. The walk to the pool is short and easy, only taking about 25 minutes round trip. A bench at poolside offers walkers a moment to enjoy the serenity of this lovely spot.

If you don’t take any other walk.... then take this one!!!
Mar 2020 • Couples
The weather was average but we still got the most amazing vista. The walk is very easy walking through the lush rain forest. Take your time and enjoy.

This entrance to this walk is near the toilets, off from the car park. Most tourist miss this place.... don’t be one of them!
