It's our privilege to guide you on the West Coast's largest and less crowded glacier. It is one of New Zealand's truly natural wonders.

Whether you are walking, heli-hiking or ice-climbing with us in this incredible environment, we can promise you a memory you'll cherish.

We have a long guiding history on the glacier (guided walks first started in 1928). Those years of accumulated knowledge and experience mean weare able to guide you with complete confidence.

You can rest assured we take your safety and comfort very seriously.

Come and enjoy our friendly West Coast hospitality, experience the mighty Fox Glacier with us and create a lifetime memory. We have glacier trips suitable for most fitness levels and ages including children from 9 yrs. Our informative Glacier Terminal Face walk is suitable for children from 5 yrs or for those who would find the walks onto the glacier too strenuous.

We were very lucky, we had the earliest heli hike but weather meant the ones that left after we returned were cancelled. Fabulous morning on the ice. Out guide, Sean, was very informative and gave us a real experience sliding head first through an ice cave! All equipment provided but if you have a breathable warmish waterproof it's best to... My nine year old Granddaughter and I were most impressed by Fox Glacier Guiding. They kitted us our with the appropriate boots, clothing and walking poles. Our guide, Sarah B, was most informative and took the time on the walk up and back, to talk with each and everyone of us. Yes, you can walk p by yourself, but for... More

This was absolutely fantastic. Easily the best tour I have ever done- worth every penny. We were lucky to have a stunning day so we were out on the glacier for 7 hours- ice climbing the whole time. Our instructors (Tom, Sarah and Sarah) were extremely professional, very good at keeping things simple and teaching us the techniques whilst being... More

Our guide was very knowledgeable - cannot fault him for that. But there was nothing in this tour you cannot do yourself. All New Zealand hikes and walks are free, so it is much better to do them yourself: take your time to explore and take photos. We were not taken any closer to the glacier than general public -... We went on the 6:45am heli-hike wIth Fox Glacier Guiding as had Kelsey as our guide. The whole tour lasted around 4 hours, comprising roughly as follows: 30 mins: collect waterproofs from centre, shuttle bus transfer to heli-pad and collect boots and socks 30 mins: allocated to helicopter groups, helicopter transfer to glacier and put on crampons ~ 2 hours... An amazing experience that anyone who loves sceneries should try at least once in their lifetime ! Do take the walking tours, it's suitable for all ages including seniors. They are highly weather dependent and therefore you should check the forecast in advance!

Wasn't sure to begin with as the helicopter trip is very cramped and not very exciting. Once on the glacier though and fully kitted up it's amazing. The size of the glacier is impressive and difficult to capture on photo. You're expertly shown how to walk properly and different aspects of the glacier is explained as you walk around. We... More

We had an amazing walk with our guides Kelsey and Sky. As our group was keen and capable, our guides took us off the main track and we experienced an informative and spectacular view of both the Fox Glacier face and the surrounding scenery from a higher view point. Both our guides were caring, supportive and keen to share their... More

This was a special combination of the Heli-hike with overnight stay combined with iceclimbing. Our guide Mike was fantastic, totally professional, informative and helpful. Absolutely stunning weather provided amazing views on Mt. Cook after our Alpine trek to Chancellor Dome. The overnight stay at Chancellor hut gave us the opportunity to see Kea and Tahr. The ice-climbing on the Fox... More
