It's our privilege to guide you on the West Coast's largest and less crowded glacier. It is one of New Zealand's truly natural wonders.

Whether you are walking, heli-hiking or ice-climbing with us in this incredible environment, we can promise you a memory you'll cherish.

We have a long guiding history on the glacier (guided walks first started in 1928). Those years of accumulated knowledge and experience mean weare able to guide you with complete confidence.

You can rest assured we take your safety and comfort very seriously.

Come and enjoy our friendly West Coast hospitality, experience the mighty Fox Glacier with us and create a lifetime memory. We have glacier trips suitable for most fitness levels and ages including children from 9 yrs. Our informative Glacier Terminal Face walk is suitable for children from 5 yrs or for those who would find the walks onto the glacier too strenuous.

The guides were very experienced and kept an eye on safety all the time, while not compromising on fun. We got to climb up the magnificent Fox Glacier, drink fresh and delicious glacier water straight from the trickling streams, go inside ice caves, and slide through ice tunnels! I have an old injury on my knee but I managed to... More

Amazing experience! Spent the day on the Glacier, as clouds rolled in and our flight home was delayed. Ross was the coolest Scottish guide, he had fantastic banter and knowledge regarding the Glacier and the history behind it. Thanks for giving the two travelling JAFA girls a sick day to remember!

We did the 4 hour Flying Fox Heli/Hike. The whole experience lasted 4 hours, but 2 and 1/2 of those hours were spent on the Glacier. The trip included waterproof boots, warm socks, waterproof jackets. We spent almost an hour sorting out the 4 groups of 5-6 people with clothing, registration, security etc. Tip, wear layers of clothing as it... More

I had a incredible and insightful walk-a-hike with my two awesome and fantastic guides - Phil and Zach. It was the most amazing and thrilling hike I ever had. We went up this waterfall (yellow fall or something?) and covered areas that not many who joined the tour had covered. :) They had made my day and my trip a... More

My partner and I did the flying fox helihike. I could not recommend more highly. It was a once in a lifetime experience that we will never forget. We could not even Phaethon the beauty of being on top of the glacier. We had an incredible guide that was really knowledgable and fun. We were so lucky to get to... More

My partner and I took part in a heli hike. It was a great experience walking on the glacier. The team of Fox Glacier Guiding has the trip extemely well structured and organized. Especially getting everybody the equipment (jackets, shoes) needed and how to board the heli was very disciplined. I personally cannot wear leather or wool and my up-front... More

What an awesome day! Booked the 10.50am flying Fox heli hike and luckily got a beautiful day for it. Having never been in a helicopter before we thought the flights were fantastic, and such beautiful scenery! On the Glacier were spilt into 3 groups of around 10 people with 2 guides. Our guides, Philly and Lisa, were great. They made... More

We have been in snow before but glacier is totally different experience. Tough we couldn't take the guided tour but still enjoyed from very close distance. The weather was bit cloudy but the place itself it so beautiful to enjoy. if anyone is planning to take guided tour try to book early as possible. otherwise you might miss the true beauty.
