It's our privilege to guide you on the West Coast's largest and less crowded glacier. It is one of New Zealand's truly natural wonders.

Whether you are walking, heli-hiking or ice-climbing with us in this incredible environment, we can promise you a memory you'll cherish.

We have a long guiding history on the glacier (guided walks first started in 1928). Those years of accumulated knowledge and experience mean weare able to guide you with complete confidence.

You can rest assured we take your safety and comfort very seriously.

Come and enjoy our friendly West Coast hospitality, experience the mighty Fox Glacier with us and create a lifetime memory. We have glacier trips suitable for most fitness levels and ages including children from 9 yrs. Our informative Glacier Terminal Face walk is suitable for children from 5 yrs or for those who would find the walks onto the glacier too strenuous.

Only 33 hikers on the glacier at any one time (plus guides and a few ice climbers) meant that we weren't tripping over each other. Transported onto the glaciers in groups of 6 although as it happened there was just the two of us plus the pilot and guide for our flights. Very well guided tour on the glacier -... More

This is definitely my favorite part in New Zealand. The tour I booked is Fox it up(IceClimbing), which takes more strength but with thrilling experience. Before we departed for this trip, the reception told us that the trip might end earlier because of the bad weather. I hesitated for a while but eventually still wanted to give it a try.... More

My teen daughter got to go on the four hour heli hike and had an amazing time. The staff were friendly, organised and very safety conscious. This will be a memory that will last a life time.

Pros: -Great, personable guides -All gear need included (boots, socks, crampons, rain pants, rain jacket) -Helicopter ride is longer than to Franz Josef Glacier -Refund Policy was explicitly stated and very fair. Probably the most lenient refund policy I've heard of which made us feel like they absolutely cared about the experience and not just making a buck. Beautiful scenery.... More

Our family of 5 (2 adults and 3 kids ~17, 14, 11yr olds) went on the fox glacier heli-hike in December. We had such a great time!!! Make sure to take the backpack, jacket and pants that are offered at the shop. Your clothes will get wet when you climb in and around the caves. You don't want to get... More

We were very lucky, we had the earliest heli hike but weather meant the ones that left after we returned were cancelled. Fabulous morning on the ice. Out guide, Sean, was very informative and gave us a real experience sliding head first through an ice cave! All equipment provided but if you have a breathable warmish waterproof it's best to... My nine year old Granddaughter and I were most impressed by Fox Glacier Guiding. They kitted us our with the appropriate boots, clothing and walking poles. Our guide, Sarah B, was most informative and took the time on the walk up and back, to talk with each and everyone of us. Yes, you can walk p by yourself, but for... More

This was absolutely fantastic. Easily the best tour I have ever done- worth every penny. We were lucky to have a stunning day so we were out on the glacier for 7 hours- ice climbing the whole time. Our instructors (Tom, Sarah and Sarah) were extremely professional, very good at keeping things simple and teaching us the techniques whilst being... More

Our guide was very knowledgeable - cannot fault him for that. But there was nothing in this tour you cannot do yourself. All New Zealand hikes and walks are free, so it is much better to do them yourself: take your time to explore and take photos. We were not taken any closer to the glacier than general public -...
