It's our privilege to guide you on the West Coast's largest and less crowded glacier. It is one of New Zealand's truly natural wonders.

Whether you are walking, heli-hiking or ice-climbing with us in this incredible environment, we can promise you a memory you'll cherish.

We have a long guiding history on the glacier (guided walks first started in 1928). Those years of accumulated knowledge and experience mean weare able to guide you with complete confidence.

You can rest assured we take your safety and comfort very seriously.

Come and enjoy our friendly West Coast hospitality, experience the mighty Fox Glacier with us and create a lifetime memory. We have glacier trips suitable for most fitness levels and ages including children from 9 yrs. Our informative Glacier Terminal Face walk is suitable for children from 5 yrs or for those who would find the walks onto the glacier too strenuous.

You come to Fox Glacier town to see its namesake glacier of course, and this tour does not disappoint. Of course, you hear horror stories of crashing helicopters on this glacier, but Fox seems to be a very safety conscious and professional outfit but for those like me, uneasy flying, it was a bit of a leap of faith but... We did the extreme heli hike and had a fantastic time. The day started sunny and we explored ice caves, saw the waterfall, and had a go at a variety of ice climbs. The provided lunch was excellent (you get a voucher to exchange for your choice of food before you go; sandwiches, cakes etc.) Our guide Cam was knowledgeable... More

I was travelling with my friends and they have an infant so we opt for the guided hike up to terminal point. Our guide was helpful and knowledgeable and we could feel his passion for the glacier. He explained how the advancing and retreating glacier has affected the landscape. He also taught us which plants were poisonous and which were used... More

We had a fantastic half day on the glacier today. The weather was great and the hike was lots of fun. Our guide Larn, and everyone else from the crew were knowledgeable and helpful and friendly. The landscape on the glacier is from out of this world. We saw archers, climbed into ice caves and saw ice rivers tens of... More

After checking in to the motel nearby, we wanted to do this Helihike but we were asked to come back the next morning to do the Helihike as the weather did not permit helicopters to fly that day. And so, we were booked on the next morning's group where we were told that if the weather still remains bad, they... More

The four of us went on a heli hike at fox and it was a wonderful experience. The helicopter ride was a highlight. The guides were knowledgable, funny and made sure everyone is safe. This is a must do for everyone with a low/moderate fitness level. Not recommended for the elderly as you can slip easily on ice.

There are two glaciers in Franz Josef. One of these is the Fox glacier. Both of them are unique since they grow in this part of NZ which is actually a rainforest. We arrived in the evening at about 4 pm and started the trek to the glacier. It's a good 40 min walk and very easy to do except... More

We did the heli hike first thing in the morning, as tends to cloud over in the afternoon. Professional in every sense and although 30 of us were booked on .. the way they got us up yo the Glacier in groups was effective and efficient. Our guide was good and allowed plenty of time for photos. Great experience
