It's our privilege to guide you on the West Coast's largest and less crowded glacier. It is one of New Zealand's truly natural wonders.

Whether you are walking, heli-hiking or ice-climbing with us in this incredible environment, we can promise you a memory you'll cherish.

We have a long guiding history on the glacier (guided walks first started in 1928). Those years of accumulated knowledge and experience mean weare able to guide you with complete confidence.

You can rest assured we take your safety and comfort very seriously.

Come and enjoy our friendly West Coast hospitality, experience the mighty Fox Glacier with us and create a lifetime memory. We have glacier trips suitable for most fitness levels and ages including children from 9 yrs. Our informative Glacier Terminal Face walk is suitable for children from 5 yrs or for those who would find the walks onto the glacier too strenuous.

Philip Cadzow - amazing guide but needs to work on his stair building ability. However, forget being an icebreaker. Philip is the ultimate heartbreaker. He melts hearts faster than global warming melts glaciers. But this is all okay, because his tour of the glacier was beyond amazing.

Did the flying fox heli tour. We were lucky enough to spend around 3 hours on the glacier. We had Jude to lead our group whilst walking on the ice and he was great and able to answer all of our questions informatively. Jude also facilitated us (where he pre-checked for safety) climbing through some of the ice caves (I've... More

We did a half day heli-hike with Philip. He was friendly, enthusiastic, and talkative. I felt very safe in his hands. The helicopter was awesome and the pilot was friendly. Be aware that the actual ride is only about 3-5 minutes. They get you all set up with jackets, boots, and crampons. Wear water resistant pants if you have them.... More

Best day ever exploring Fox Glacier with tour guide Jude. What a amazing place with fantastic views, it felt so surreal. Jude was chatty and gave us heaps of information about the glaciers and made the experience feel like we were really exploring another world.

I am glad that I brought good hiking shoes for the uphill and incline path to the foothill of the Fox Glacier. On the trek the surrounding area was not as scenic as Franz Josef Glacier. Upon reaching the end of the allow path to see the glacier upclose, it was a bit disappointing as the glacier had receded and... More

We actually booked for heli-hike from Fox Glacier Guiding, however the helicopter could not operate on that day due to the weather. We were so disappointed, but we join the walking trail instead. Our guide gave us wonderful time with knowledge and he is very friendly and helpful.

Fox glacier heli hike is awesome! Try it and experience it for yourself. Group size is around 1:11 and are scattered around so you feel good being in your own space at a comfortable pace for the hike. It didn't took us long to get used to walking with crampons on the ice. There're several "cave" like ice formations there... More

What a fun trip! One of my husband's NZ highlights. We did the half day trip, and for those interested, be prepared to be grouped with varying levels of ability. There were some folks who certainly could have moved faster, and some folks for whom the trip was exhausting. Our guide Sarah (from the US, in case there's more than... More
