It's our privilege to guide you on the West Coast's largest and less crowded glacier. It is one of New Zealand's truly natural wonders. Whether you are walking, heli-hiking or ice-climbing with us in this incredible environment, we can promise you a memory you'll cherish. We have a long guiding history on the glacier (guided walks first started in 1928). Those years of accumulated knowledge and experience mean weare able to guide you with complete confidence. You can rest assured we take your safety and comfort very seriously. Come and enjoy our friendly West Coast hospitality, experience the mighty Fox Glacier with us and create a lifetime memory. We have glacier trips suitable for most fitness levels and ages including children from 9 yrs. Our informative Glacier Terminal Face walk is suitable for children from 5 yrs or for those who would find the walks onto the glacier too strenuous.

We booked this tour a day before the trip and was lucky to be able to get 2 last remaining slots. There were 2 trips a day during winter (8:50am or 11:50am) and we took the later slot at 11:50am. Everyone were punctual to arrive...More

We were unable to do a helicopter ride, instead we saw the glacier from the viewpoint close to Lake Matheson. Really impressive, albeit from a distance- still great though. Don't bother with the Valley Walk, there's an uphill section that is quite strenuous and for...More

Our guide Thomas was informative with details about Fox Glacier. Don't think that the guided tour had anything really special included, which is really why you book on a guided tour. Save yourself some money and visit at your own leisure.

This is definitely a must do! There's no way of getting the proper glacier experience without the proper tour either. We did the heli-hike tour, where you are flown via helicopter on a fun little trip to and from the glacier. And are guided on...More

Hi there, Thanks for your question. Our Heli Hike operating area is only 800 metres above sea level so we don't get much snow here as a general rule. Late October is springtime so very rare but not out of the question... More

We wish to see ice caves. We will be there mid April. Is this possible and is there a lot of walking/climbing involved?

There is about 2.5 - 3 hours of walking, but in my mind it was relatively easy walking. They will give you leather boots and thick socks that are comfortable and good for the hike--I brought my own, but elected to use... More
