It's our privilege to guide you on the West Coast's largest and less crowded glacier. It is one of New Zealand's truly natural wonders.

Whether you are walking, heli-hiking or ice-climbing with us in this incredible environment, we can promise you a memory you'll cherish.

We have a long guiding history on the glacier (guided walks first started in 1928). Those years of accumulated knowledge and experience mean weare able to guide you with complete confidence.

You can rest assured we take your safety and comfort very seriously.

Come and enjoy our friendly West Coast hospitality, experience the mighty Fox Glacier with us and create a lifetime memory. We have glacier trips suitable for most fitness levels and ages including children from 9 yrs. Our informative Glacier Terminal Face walk is suitable for children from 5 yrs or for those who would find the walks onto the glacier too strenuous.

This is definitely a must do! There's no way of getting the proper glacier experience without the proper tour either. We did the heli-hike tour, where you are flown via helicopter on a fun little trip to and from the glacier. And are guided on a hike/walk around the glacier with the chance to crawl through several glacier caves. Our... More

Helihike, different from the terminal face walk, can really get you immersive into the wonder of nature. From the instant of getting into the helicopter, and looking down to the massive icecap in the middle of the valley would pump up your body immediately, regardless the 2.4 hour exploration into the sublime icy terrain and features. Will be back.

Walking up to the Glacier was a beautiful & dramatic walk. Our guide Philip was great, very knowledgeable about the Glacier & the geologic processes that form the whole area. Going on a guide pd walk got us closer to the face of the Glacier than otherwise & a whole lot more information. We went on this walk as we... More

We loved the heli-hike with Fox Glacier Guiding! Our guide, Jude, was friendly and knowledgeable, and we saw lots of cool ice features on the glacier.

A friend and I decided to use Fox Glacier Guiding for our heli/hike trip and they were fantastic. Our guide John was brilliant and having had this down as one of the highlights of our trip we were not disappointed. John made sure of our safety at all times and showed us some incredible sights, the 2 hour hike went... More

I have tried many things in New Zealand. It is one of the best activities I have ever done. It was even more impressive than the helicopter trip in Mount Cook. The weather was very supportive and the glacier walk last more than 3 hours which was longer than I expected. A few options could be chosen and half day... More

We had been told not to go on a guided tour because you could see the glacier if you took the walk on your own. We chose to do the guided tour and our guide Simon was awesome. Very knowledgable and fun. He took us up past where the general public can go and we saw a completely different face.... More

We had booked a helihike but it was cancelled due to the weather therefore we went for a guided tour of the fox glacier valley. It was interesting to see the glacier from a different perspective. Our guide was Jules and she was amazing - informative, chatty, funny and definitely the most 'Kiwi' person we've ever met. Thanks for the... More
