Whether you are walking, heli-hiking or ice-climbing with us in this incredible environment, we can promise you a memory you'll cherish.

We have a long guiding history on the glacier (guided walks first started in 1928). Those years of accumulated knowledge and experience mean weare able to guide you with complete confidence.

You can rest assured we take your safety and comfort very seriously.

Come and enjoy our friendly West Coast hospitality, experience the mighty Fox Glacier with us and create a lifetime memory. We have glacier trips suitable for most fitness levels and ages including children from 9 yrs. Our informative Glacier Terminal Face walk is suitable for children from 5 yrs or for those who would find the walks onto the glacier too strenuous.

Did the Heli Hike tour today and our guide Jules was fantastic! It's a short helicopter ride to the glacier and from their you get your spiked shoes and off you go. She explained how the glaciers move and change and answered all questions we had. Got to climb through a few ice caves and hit up an ice slide.... More

Great experience with the short helicopter ride and hike on ice. Amazing guides who were friendly & informative and helpful with photo-taking. Total ice time was ~3hours which includes sliding around in the ice caves.

Our guide was Allison and she was great! We had a total of 4 people in our group. My husband and I were slower than the other two people, and she made sure we felt comfortable. She sets up 2 climbing ropes (usually a hard one and easy one) so everyone is always doing something! We got to walk around... More

Great morning heli hiking today on the Fox Glacier. A big thank you to the whole Fox guiding team, friendly and good fun but serious about what they do. Zak you were brilliant! Informative, funny and cool at the same time, not an easy trick to pull off. Jules deserves a mention too, chatty and friendly. Really recommend the trip.... More

We absolutely loved the 3-hour Heli Hike to Fox Glacier. It's a bit pricey, but a once-in-a-lifetime experience. They provide leather hiking boots and socks for the trip, in addition to rain jacket if you need one. They also have crampons (for traction on ice) and walking sticks available up on the Glacier. The guides are superb and you'll love... More

My party of 7 'young at heart & reasonably fit' 60 years old went on the helihike! It was absolutely fantastic and one of the highlights of our 4 week tour of New Zealand. All of the staff were very friendly and equally efficient. At all times we felt safe and confident in their guiding. It's a must do when... More

My daughter and I took this trip on a great sunny Saturday in mid- February. Kelsey our guide was brilliant - taking us on the most wonderful walk on Fox Glacier after a helicopter flight from the village to the glacier. She was knowledgeable and great fun, encouraging all members of the group to join in. This really was a... More

I'm so glad that the weather cleared enough for us to do this tour. There was a little bit of juggling at the start trying to get correct weights for the helicopter flights (which is understandable) but after that everything ran really smoothly. As it was my first helicopter flight it added to the fun and it gives a good... More

A memorable family adventure on the glacier, we took the heli-hike option and our 9-year-old daughter loved the helicopter ride as much as the two-and-a-half hours spent exploring the ice. It's not a cheap trip but once you've done it you appreciate that it provides excellent value for money. All helped by very slick, efficient, friendly staff and our guide... More
