Amazing wines in general, but the Gewürtztramina was the best we tried in the region. We accidentally dropped the bottle on the cycle back (after a few too many) and the owners were really kind and offered to replace. Highly recommended!

the curse of cycling is only the risk of wine damage, otherwise the day cycling between the wineries is fantastic. we are pleased you enjoyed the Gewurztraminer as we do too. Cheers Dave More

We hadn't heard of Bladen. But the wineries we were going to were closed. We were greeted with a terrific host who owns the vineyard, clean and vibrant wines that were clear expressions of Marlborough and the new world. They have a beautiful red setter who greets the guests. Definitely worth a stop in if you are in the region.... More

Bladen Wines was such an amazing experience. We loved that it is still family run with a lovely story. Their wine room has a nice quaint inviting feeling. Everyone there was super friendly. We loved every wine we tried and the prices for their wines are very reasonable. Since we can't carry much back to the United States, we did... More

We loved this place on our bike tour of the Marlborough area. The staff person was knowledgable, welcoming and friendly. The wines were delicious. We really loved the Gewürztraminer. WOW! Nice job and thank you.

this is a very small producer of excellent quality wines at Ggeat very reresonable prices. John was in charge of the tasting the day we were there and he really knows his wine and presents in a very apealling way. Over 2 days we visited 5 wineries and this was our favorite.

One of the smaller vineyards that we visited yesterday and so lovely to be entertained by the actual owner rather than someone just doing a job! The passion for the business certainly shone through. These guys produce some great wine and I would definitely recommend a visit

The cellar door here is tiny but Bladen sell really nice wine at reasonable prices. The owner seems to really enjoy having people visit, he answered all of our questions and was happily answering some highly technical questions from another visitor too. The other guy didn't buy anything either, just loaded up on tasters and info but the owner didn't... More

Many thanks for your comments and I am pleased you enjoyed your visit. For the record I am always disappointed if people leave without a purchase as this is our livelihood, but would never show that disappointment as that would not be professional and there are many reasons why someone does not purchase. I would love everyone to understand the... More

One of the more relaxed and family run cellar doors. We enjoyed these wines but also learning the origins of the winery.

A beautiful story and family run business. Owner Dave is so humble and so full of information. Clearly loves what he does. A lovely day had out at Bladen wines. A must see if in the area.

What a pleasant surprise this winery was, with its tiny tasting room, hand made wines and expert and friendly staff, not to mention some of the best wines in the region! You must visit this winery while in the Marlborough.
