Spend the day at Mount Cook Village, nestled in the shadow of Aoraki Mount Cook, New Zealand’s tallest mountain. A must to visit during the cold weather; we visited on one of the hotels to days this month after 60km on trail bikes. Possibly not the best time!! Extremely clean and very well appointed Book ahead a time you want to visit

I've been here three times. The hot tubs are large, with a nice outlook over a pond. They're fairly private, although depending which tub you're in, you may see other people in the next tub over when you climb up the steps to get in, and one time we had children from another tub come running to ours (just exploring, or by mistake, not sure). Staff are friendly, and the waiting area is spacious and comfortable. Complementary water is provided as towels can be rented for around $5 each. Each hot pool has an adjacent changing room, so you can get undressed and get in the pool without seeing anyone else (except for potentially seeing someone at the next pool over when you climb the steps). The first time I visited, there was a shower in the private changing room, but it seems the showers have now been removed from the private changing rooms. The only shower now seems to be in the main block. No big issue. Definitely a worthwhile experience. Strongly recommend booking to secure a tub.

Purposely visited the hot tubs and stay in Omarama 1 night. Being that it’s summer we visited during the 8pm slot which is the last time for the day so we didn’t sit in a hot tub during the hot day. 1.5 hrs of quiet and relaxation right next to a pond. Very clean, very spacious tubs for 2 of us, complimentary water which was a saviour. The view from spa 6 was gorgeous, over looking the pond and mountains. Seeing the sun set as well! It was a perfect way to unwind and end our day. I would revisit for sure if in the area again.
