We've just completed the 5 day Otago rail trail booked through Cycle Surgery. We were picked up in Queenstown and taken to Clyde to collect our bikes, get them fitted, and for our first night in the historic Dunstan house.
We loved chatting with all the cycle surgery staff we spent time with, and felt like we were really well supported the whole way.
The bikes were amazing, comfortable, reliable and easy to use. We tootled along at 20km most of the time, chatting away, with our panniers stuffed with beer and chips.
We liked all the different accommodations and dinner venues along the way. They've found some real characters there, and each stop was completely unique. Dinner was booked for us each night (luckily because there were not always many options), often with a pickup service in remote areas.
We got to Dunedin full of plans for future trips, and have already passed cycle surgery's details on to a few mates who are thinking to follow in our tyre tracks over the next couple of years.
